Chapter 27

Alex POV:

Jake checked my wounds every 4 hours because my face became very swollen and I got a fever as well and was sleeping in his bed.

Jake had already quit being a Police Officer and I stopped killing people. Jake took care of me for hours last night, at all my complaining and my groans of pain. He was hurt as well, but not as bad as I was. I couldn't even open my left eye because it was so swollen.

"Jakeeee" I groaned for Jake who was downstairs. "What is it Alex?" Jake asked. "I wanna go outsideeeee" I whined. "You can't your fever will get worse and you'll blame me" he said as he came upstairs with food.

"Jaaaaakkkkeeee plllleaaaaasssseee" I groaned and whined. Jake sighed "I will call your father" he threatened. I zipped my mouth shut remembering what father had told Jake and I. "Jake Alex will be under your care, I'll leave you some of his medicine that he absolutely needs. And Jake, if Alex becomes a pain, or is acting like a brat, call me and I will come and punish him, or you may punish him, it is up to you" Father told Jake with a smile.

I sighed softly and looked up at the ceiling. "Is your right eye okay?" He asked setting the food Down at a desk. "Its fine.... I just can't see anything from my left because of that prick" I grumbled. "Well I'm glad you can at least see out of one at the moment, sit up please" he got on the side of the bed where I was and I sat up. He examined my face and took off the bandages to put on new ones cleaning the wounds once again.

I hugged him after he bandaged me up again. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asked. "I'm sorry I got you into this mess..." I muttered into his shoulder. "Alex.... This doesn't bother Me anymore..I knew these things would happen by accepting you as my lover, and I don't care about those dangers" Jake sighed and kissed my forehead. "Now get some rest, I don't want you to stay sick forever" Jake smiled and I nodded. I laid back and sighed. "Thank you.... Jake...." I said as I instantly fell asleep, really tired to begin with.
