Sonic's Pov.

After about 15 minutes of flying in the air, Tails landed the X-Tornado at the house. I quickly jumped off the plane and ran inside, still holding Y/N tightly in my arms. When inside, I took her to Tails's lab and lay her down on the bed there. Tails and Amy came in seconds after I did.
"Where's Knucklehead?" I asked.
"Went back to guarding his emerald... again." Amy sighed.
"Ok. Anyways, Tails could you analyze Y/N, to see if-"
"Way ahead of you, bro!" Tails announced, already holding a needle.
"I may need a drop of your blood, Y/N. You know, for the analysis." Tails said. Y/N nodded and held out her arm. Tails gently stuck a needle into it, causing Y/N to flinch for a second before relaxing again, and took out some of her blood.
"This will only take a moment." Tails took the blood sample to the other room, while I stayed to comfort Y/N.
"Don't worry, Y/N. Everything will be fine." I assured her.
"I hope so." She responded. A few minutes later, Tails came back with a piece of paper.
"Well?"
"It looks like the drug that Eggman inserted into Y/N's blood contains some of your blood, Sonic." Tails explained, making me gasp slightly when I remembered one of Eggman's robots collecting some of my blood from a previous battle.
"How long will they last?" I asked, worried.
"The side effects? They should slowly start to go away the better Y/N gets accustomed to this new... form she has." Tails noted.
"Is there... anyway to reverse it?" Y/N questioned.
Tails sighed, "Not right now that I can find. In order to change you back, we'd need some human blood, but the drug Eggman gave you had already overtaken most of your human blood, hence the side-effects. I saw Y/N's ears droop down. I comforted her by giving her a gentle embrace, while she buried her face into my chest. It felt as if she was going to cry. I pulled away from the embrace.
"Please don't cry Y/N. We'll find a way to change you back and get you back home soon." In all honesty, I didn't actually mind this very much. If Y/N remained a Mobian hedgehog, then she could stay here with me forever. But I knew better. Y/N had to go back; this wasn't her place, her home. Y/N had dried her tears against my fur, which I didn't mind one bit.
"Hey, don't worry Y/N." Amy jumped in the conversation, "Since you'll be here for a while, you might as well make the most of it, right?"
"Yeah, I think that I will." Y/N smiled, which made me smile too.
"First things first," Amy started, "For the rest of the day, you should get plenty of rest, but starting tomorrow morning, I'm going to take you shopping!"
"Shopping?" Y/N and I said in unison.
"Yeah, might as well spend some girl-time together, right? Plus, I think that we should get you some clothes that fit your size more." I looked at Y/N's clothes. Amy was kind of right. Y/N had grow smaller, to about a few inches shorter than me, so her clothes seemed soft of big on her. Y/N noticed this too and nodded at Amy.
"Sure, I guess that'll be alright."
"Great!" Amy exclaimed, "Make sure to get plenty of rest. Later!" Amy ran out of the room, followed by Tails. Y/N and I exchanged glances before laughing. I gave her a quick kiss on the forehead and let her drift of to sleep. I hope that she likes it here. Maybe then she might decide to stay.
