Y/N's Pov.

*time skip to a month after visit at doctor's*

This was so exciting, yet at the same time, it made me nervous. I was excited that Sonic and I would have a child, but I was nervous about being a first time parent. But thankfully, Sonic and the gang helped me feel better about it.
"Sonic?" I asked him, getting his attention, "Do you think the baby will be like you?"
"You're going to have to be more specific with you're definition of 'me.'" Sonic replied.
"I mean, do you think that they'll try to save the world and protect all of Mobius like you do?"
"Yeah, I'll teach them the skills of being a great hero." Sonic grinned, making my giggle.
"Okay, just don't get cocky much." I poked his nose. Sonic chuckled, taking hold of my hand and kissing it.
"I'll do my best." Sonic lay down my belly.
"What are you doing?" I questioned.
"Shh. I'm listening for them." Sonic shushed me, and I rolled my eyes.
"It's only been a month."
"Yeah, and?"
"You're so cute when you're concerned." I pet his quills, making his tail wag, "We still have another 8 months to wait."
"Why 8 months? Doesn't anyone know that I'm very impatient when it comes to important things?" Sonic joked, "Actually Y/N, there's something that I need to do first."
"And what's that?"
"You'll find out later today." He teased.
"Why can't you just tell me now?" I giggled at his childish behavior.
"Because I want it to be a surprise." He winked.
"Soni- Am I interrupting something?" Tails burst in.
"Not at all Tails." I told her, "Something wrong?"
"Yes. Eggman is attacking the town... again..." Tails told us, giving us his deadpanned look of annoyance towards Eggman's constant attack.
"I'm on it!" Sonic jumped up, "I'll be back later, dear. Stay safe." Sonic kissed my head.
"You too, my brave hero." I told him. Sonic gave me a thumbs up before running out the door, Amy right behind him. I wanted to help fight against Eggman too, but I had a strong feeling that Sonic wouldn't let me because of the obvious. I wonder what the surprise could be...

*time skip to evening*

"Hey guys," I asked Amy and Tails, "Have you seen Sonic anywhere?" They simply grinned.
"Yeah. He said that he wants to meet you on the top of the hill by the ocean." Tails told me.
"Don't keep him waiting." Amy teased, making me roll my eyes. I suppose that it was about that 'surprise' that he was going to tell me about. I left the house and went to the place that Tails told me to go. When I got there, I saw Sonic there with a romantic picnic set up.
"Aww, Sonic. Is this the surprise that you wanted to tell me about?" I went over to him.
"Well, it's part of it." Sonic patted his hand on the blanket telling me to sit down.
"And what's the other part?"
"You'll see." We enjoyed a cute, little picnic as the sun was descending in the sky. I leaned on Sonic's shoulder to rest on, while he wrapped his arm around me. When we finished, I decided to ask Sonic again.
"Come on," I poked his nose again, "Tell me the other part of the surprise."
"Alright, alright. I think that I've kept you waiting long enough." Sonic and I stood up, but then Sonic got down on one knee. Is he going to do what I think he's going to do?
"Y/N," Sonic started, "You're the most wonderful person, er... Mobian that I've ever met in my entire life. You're beautiful, kind-hearted, and bravest girl that I've ever known. You always make my day. You cheer me up when I feel down, and have helped me get through many tough troubles. Ever since I met you, I couldn't imagine a life without you. What I mean is," Sonic paused, blushing as he took out a tiny red box. He opened it and inside it was a beautiful ring, "Y/N... will you marry me?" (gosh, this entire speech took me 10 freaking minutes XD ) I gasped, blushing like mad. Was this for real?! After a moment of taking everything in, I jumped on him, pulling him into a hug.
"Yes. A thousand times, yes!" I told him. He gave me a wide grin before pulling me into a kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck, enjoying every second of this moment. The sun was shining on us as it set behind the sky, as if telling us that this was meant to be.
