A Bad Feeling :(

"Ellie and her family will be waiting by the bridge and we will catch up with them." I heard aunt talk with mom and I sighed loudly which was unintentionally. They stopped in the middle of the conversation and raised their heads towards me. I apologized and went to bathroom to clear my thoughts.
No, I just heard it wrong.
Why would they join us in our vacation?
They probably have different plans.
Or maybe they have some works in Okinawa
or maybe they...

Argh! I gripped my hair and took my head in my hands, unable to believe what I just heard. After a moment I regained my composure and consoled myself telling it's going to be alright even though I knew it won't be.
Aunt Ellie and our family knew each other for a long time but my aunt knows them longer than my family does. Our families visit them often and whenever we go out; be it picnic or of religious stuff, we plan it together and go. But it has been 4 years since we met them and I guess it is the first reunion after that incident.

"I am taking the seat near the window," my cousin howled, coming in front of me. Even though she is elder than me, she doesn't act her age. "Nope! Not a chance. I am taking the seat. You know my problem," I said as I pulled her away from the car and hurriedly crept in the car beside the window.
The car started with my sister, Jess talking about her job as private tutor in the evening and teacher at primary school during the day. I was so engrossed in her talk that I didn't realize our car was slowing down and I looked outside my window to figure out the situation and at that moment I saw the thing that I wished never to see.
Oh, it might not be. It must be uncle's head. That person must not have come--- "Good morning Ellie, you all are early today. Wow! Your boy came too," over-enthusiast aunt shattered my thoughts and left me to accept the dreadful truth.
I closed my eyes and covered my ears to control my inner hulk to take action without my realization.
