I remained stunned at my place and looked at the crowd who were on the other side of the door. I could see my family and most of the familiars. Few of them were strangers to me and all of them were holding gifts. On the entrance, a banner was hanged and on it, Happy Sweet 16th, Princess was written in bold letters. I saw Jess in there smiling at me and I knew that she was involved in the plan too.
"Happy Birthday sweetheart," mom said. She hugged me and dad joined in too. They apologized for lying to me and making me sad. I told them the lie was worth it and that they made it up for me with this awesome surprise. It was the time to cut my cake and I can't help but enjoy cutting the cake. I fed cakes to my mom, dad, Jess, Aunt and uncle. I was in less than a minute covered by gifts and envelopes of money. I didn't see Allen and decided to ask Fallon but he didn't know anything about him. I called him but he is not picking up his phone. The dances and drinks came after I finished cutting the cake and I was kind of enjoying when Jess told me that I should keep the gifts in the room. I nodded since half of the sofa was taken up by my gifts. She helped me to collect the gifts and took it to the room.
After reaching there, I decided to rest a bit and come down later. Jess left after arranging the gifts and as I went to the dressing mirror to straighten out my dress, I saw a blue card and To: Sweet 16th, Princess was written on it. I opened and saw Happy Birthday written on it and a direction written in it. I followed the instruction and saw a blue card pasted on the door. It read Go inside and after hesitating for a while I entered and saw a white Korean style coat on the bed with another blue card near it. Wear this, it's for you, it read and on the back of the letter, it again had directions given. Who is the person who was making me do this? I wondered. I followed as it said and reached to another door. This door seems to lead outside the hotel. It was a discovery for me; I haven't seen the door here. It must be the emergency door. I slide open the door and it led me into an open space. It was dark and as the door creak shut, the light came from tiny bulbs hanging on the trees. In the centre there was a metal swing and a blue card on it. I sat down as it instructed and looked around for the person who was sending me the cards.
Someone blindfolded me from the behind and before I could move, a cold lips kissed me on my cheeks. I knew who it was. All the kicks and screams that I had prepared had gone and relief dawned on me. "Don't take off the blindfold now, I will tell you when to do it," he said quietly. I did as he said. "Now, take off the fold." I took out the fold and saw Allen smiling and holding two bouquets of flowers; red and yellow. I smiled at him and upon eyeing the bouquets I threw him a confused look. He wished me and after a silence he confessed, "Su, look it's your birthday and I don't mean to ruin it but I guess it is the perfect day to tell you. I loved you before and I still love you. "He looked down on the ground as he said. "Will you be my girlfriend, Su? Pick red if it's yes and yellow for No." Before he could say something, I took the yellow bouquet and put it down on the swing. He stared at me. "I want you to give this bouquet to me," I said pointing at what he was holding. He smiled and came forward, "I love you." "I love you too."
A slow dance dominated the party inside the Hotel. Allen smiled and I instantly knew what was going to happen, "Would you, Princess, like to dance with me?" he held his hand out and I gladly gave my hand. "I certainly would like to." We laughed and danced to the song all night without anyone knowing where we two were.h
