Choco-Eclairs

The morning is without any doubt full of surprises; especially for me. We ate our breakfast downstairs and luckily, I didn't have to talk since my aunt, mom and aunt Ellie dominated the breakfast table. I and Jess finished our breakfast and headed to our room to get ready to go to Mall. I was excited to go since I am again here after four years and I need to buy clothes too.
"Su, I think you owe him one," Jess told me pointing in front of her. I followed her hand and saw Allen talking to my mom. I suddenly remembered what happened yesterday and Jess has suggested me to pay him back or at least thank him. I had disagreed with her suggestion but my heart won't agree with the logic of my mind. So I guess I will be doing as per my conscience.

I pushed 120 yen and a note slowly from where I was sitting to the other side of the table. I murmured a low 'thank you' and before he looked up from his phone, I hurriedly went outside the hotel.
Thanks for the yesterday, even though it wasn't mandatory.
I don't want to be indebted to you so accept the money.
P.S- I don't need your help in the future.

"Let's go to that store," Jess screamed loudly gaining unnecessary attention from the street vendors and passersby. "What the hell are you thinking, Jess?" I yelled at her quietly, pointing at the two boys; Allen and Fallon, my food-obsessive anime freak cousin tagging along. "We agreed that it would be girls' day out." "We agreed but I thought we would need someone to carry our bags. Don't you think they are perfect for the work?" Jess explained to me in her you-can-trust-me tone and I prefer to do the opposite. I rolled my eyes at her futile attempt to lie to me.
It was late in the evening when we decided to stop at a Sweet Shop to satisfy our tummy. I was busy deleting spam emails when I heard Allen explaining our orders to the waiter. "1 chocolate fudge." That is undoubtedly Jess' choice. "1 large sundae." For Fallon and "lastly two Chocó-éclairs." His choice hasn't changed a bit. It suddenly brought me back to those days when we used to argue over who ordered first and how he always accepts defeat when I throw tantrums and sulk all day when I don't get the éclair first. Reality stroked me and I pushed back the memories deep behind my cerebrum. I am not the same naïve girl who has the same obsession as the jerk sitting in front of me. "Excuse me, would you make it one éclair and 2 chocolate fudge?" I corrected as Allen's baffled eyes bore into mine for an equitable hint for my incoherent behavior.
