A/N: Hi everyone! So there has been some confusion at around this bit (I think), because, guess what, my italics button doesn't work! So all the lines that look like speech but have no quotation marks are SUPPOSED to be thoughts - in italics, of course. But, you know, I can't do that. Sorry for the confusion! And thanks if you ever make it to this point, by the way XD
Oh, and thanks to @JamieWard8 for making so many helpful corrections throughout the book that my spellcheck didn't catch ;) Thank you!

Chapter 12
Rise and shine, Princess!
"Go away, Zed," I mumbled.
It's nine, Suz. Princesses don't sleep later than nine in Sayrene.
"I am not a princess," I muttered, covering my face with a cushion. After a moment, my eyes opened a fraction. Where was he?
I'm not in the room.
"Yeah right."
I'm having breakfast downstairs in the living room. And I'm not talking - this is a telepathic message.
"You had to wake me up with all this creepy superpower thing?" I moaned.
Come and have breakfast.
"I'm coming, I'm coming," I muttered. I took a deep breath. Sleeping really had helped me digest all the information. I'm a princess. The princess, to be precise. The princess of ... I gulped. Sayrene. And right now, I was going to have breakfast. Deep breath.
I walked out of the room and, after a few minutes, managed to find my way to the living room we had been using yesterday. I was rewarded with the sight of both Zed and Jasmine, and, even more rewardingly, with the sight of breakfast.
"Hello!" greeted Jasmine. Zed smiled contently.
"I told you I wasn't in the room," he said.
I chose to ignore that comment.
"Where's my mum?" I asked.
"She's still sleeping on the other room," said Jasmine, pointing to a room next to her. "We gave her some stuff so that she would sleep through the night, but she should be waking up any minute."
"That came to her as a bit of a shock," added Zed.
"Oh." I looked pityingly in the direction of her room. "Where's the nearest bathroom?" I asked Jasmine.
"Down that corridor," she said, pointing behind her. "Last door on the right."
"Right."
***
"Where do you do your shopping?" I asked. "This bread is so nice."
"We can talk about that later," said Jasmine. "It's half past nine, and you need to start your princess training."
"My what?" I scoffed. "Princess training? "
"Yes. Zed and I will be your Princess Training instructors from now on. Alright?"
I put the fork down on the table with a clatter. "That's it," I declared. "I quit."
Zed smiled. "Sorry, Suz. That's not an option."
I sighed. "But ... Princess Training? Seriously, the image that comes into my mind when I hear that is how to sit up straight when I'm at the table and how to dance the waltz!"
