Guardian of the wolves part: 10

Rin sneezed. Asuma and the wolves asleep while kakashi sat beside Rin..
"I told you to go near the fire Rin" kakashi whispered to her sighing.. As he pulled her closer to him, wrapping a blanket around her.
"Well I don't want to be in the middle of it" Rin muttered.. Kakashi looked at her and smiled
"What kind of excuse is that?" Kakashi asked smiling.. Rin shrugged as he sat her on his lap..
"Should of gone to bed earlier last night... We did stay up until 2 at least"
"In the cold"
"Hm" kakashi whispered as Rin sighed
"Mom will be coming in the afternoon.... I don't really want to see her"
"Hey... If she gives you trouble.. You can always ask me to help okay?"
"It's not any of your business though"
"Who cares. I do what I can to help my friends" kakashi whispered
"Besides... It's almost Christmas isn't it? You'd want to at least see your mother once"
"I'm her reject child kakashi... She ditched me completely after my dad was shot"
"Shot?"
"He was in the middle of gunfire... He tried to protect rai's pups from getting killed... Shot right through the head on my 13th birthday" Rin whispered kakashi wrapped his arms around her
"That's also the day before my mom picked up and left me by my self with the wolves... I still wish I could thank my dad.. For teaching me how to survive"
"You still have part of him..." Kakashi whispered taking hold of the necklace around her neck and opening the locket making her smile
"Yeah.... Who could forget about that animal loving guy"
"Hm" kakashi hummed as he closed the locket
"You miss him don't you?"
"Yeah..."
"You know what?"
"What?"
"I'd be glad.. To have had a dad like that..." Kakashi whispered Rin smiled
"I am glad... I just wish he didn't have to get killed"
"Hm" Rin sighed as she sneezed again making kakashi smile.
"I'm gonna go get more wood for the fire... Stay here okay?"
"Hm" Rin whined hand on his left wrist keeping him down... Kakashi smiled "don't go... Your warm" Rin whispered... Hugging his arm.. Kakashi smiled and did handsigns, Rin watched curiously as another kakashi appeared beside the real one... Rin looked up at the one she had hold of and pulled him down as the other one walked off
"Clones Rin..." He whispered..
"It's... Cool" Rin whispered as she sneezed again... She heard the door open... But not close. Rin looked up to see a large black wolf growling.
"Rydon" Rin asked as the large black wolf looked at her then to kakashi... The black wolf growled..
"Calm down Ry" Rin whispered getting up and walking towards the large wolf... Rydon nudged her and whined. The door then closed making Rin look up
"We don't need you getting colder" kakashi muttered as he walked back to the couch. Rin watched him and sneezed..
"Come here Rin" kakashi called quietly. Rin walked over to him and sat on his lap..
"Good" he whispered as he put an arm around her... He was warm making Rin snuggle closer
"Hmmmm you know what?"
"What is it Rin?"
"I wouldn't mind staying like this all day" Rin whispered kakashi smiled
"Yeah.... Nice and quiet"
"Hm" kakashi leant his head back against the couch and sighed. Rin's head against his chest as they sat there on the couch relaxing... The fire burning brightly... As Naruto and the other wolves woke up... Naruto barked and jumped up on the couch with Rin and kakashi leaning against kakashi's side.. Kakashi then put an arm around Naruto and sighed
"Your not getting any of this treatment when your back to normal Naruto.. Remember that" Naruto whined as Rin played with naruto's paws..
"I honestly think he looks cute as a wolf" Rin whispered.. Kakashi chuckled
"Yeah.. I guess" kakashi whispered as rydon growled. The large black wolf then sat Infront of kakashi and growled.., kakashi growled back and sighed
"That wolf thinks he's in charge of me doesn't he?"
"In a way yes... Your like an outsider to him... He's the leader of the wolf pack a few kilometres away from here... He sometimes comes over to see what I'm doing... He is rai's brother"
"Hmm.." Kakashi said in response. Rin smiled as the little pup jumped up on her lap making her giggle.
"So adorable~" she cooed patted the little wolf's head..
"What's his name?"
"Riku" Rin answered kakashi's question as asuma soon woke up and smiled
"Morning guys" asuma stated, Rin smiled and waved
"Yeah morning.., forgot to say it didn't we?"
"Hmm we did" kakashi whispered, arm still around her waist keeping her seated on him..
"Well I'm going to go get changed into something warmer" Rin whispered looking to kakashi who let go of her
"Yeah... It's cold"
"I'll be back" Rin whispered blanket still around her shoulders
"Kakashi?" Asuma asked, kakashi looked to his friend and sighed. Rin then walked out, Leaving the two men alone
"Hm?"
"You don't just like her because she reminds you of Rin do you?" Asuma asked kakashi sighed..
"She doesn't remind me of Rin... The Rin I knew was innocent and was in love with me... She's different..." Kakashi whispered
"Your not starting to like her are you?" Asuma asked, kakashi looked at his friend and sighed
"Nah.. Just friends.. I think" Kakashi then chuckled to himself "yeah just friends... " asuma sighed
"If you say so" asuma muttered as kakashi looked at him
"Your worried about Kurenai and your team aren't you?"
"Yeah.... Why wouldn't I be"
"Yeah.. Hope who ever was brought here are alright...still have to find Sasuke and Sakura" Kakashi whispered Naruto then whined at the mention of his teammates
"Still have to find Guy if he was brought here"
"Yeah" asuma agreed sighing
"I hope they haven't been killed... Who knows what people here could do" Kakashi whispered.. Asuma looked to the fire
"I wouldn't mind being home right now...." Asuma whispered... Kakashi nodded
"Wouldn't blame ya" he muttered sighing
"You don't have anything to back too do you"
"Never have... You know that" kakashi whispered standing up and stretching
"Ever since it happened everything's gone downhill for me so nothing really to worry or think about" kakashi muttered
"You have friends that care for you"
"Yeah... I know just never had that real relationship with anyone you know? I don't mind though"
"Yeah" asuma muttered watching his friend walk out
"Tell Rin I'm outside" kakashi muttered.
"Sure" asuma said nodding as he sat on the fold out bed.. Naruto looking at the fire
"Never knew that about your teacher did you Naruto?" Naruto whined in response
"Yeah... He's a mysterious guy" asuma commented. Rin soon walked back into the room. She was now wearing a wooly jumper and a beanie
"Where's kakashi?"
"Outside" asuma stated getting up
"Want me to feed the wolves?" Asuma asked, Rin nodded
"Yeah thanks"
"No problem" asuma stated walking into the kitchen as Rin escaped the house and sighed breathing in the cold air
"What you doing outside?" Rin smiled at him and shrugged
"Getting out of the stuffy room" she stated chuckling.. Kakashi smirked
"Very funny" he muttered..
"I'm fine you know. I've been in a worse situation"
"I know"
"Then why be so caring towards me?"
"Because.. I'm grateful for you letting me stay here"
"I know" she stated smiling as she sat next to him on the stairs to the porch
"So you want to go back to your world?" Rin asked, kakashi looked at her and shrugged
"Nothing really there for me except missions and training"
"Missions?"
"Get paid to go around to different countries for work... It's good I guess.. Get to see other places and meet new people"
"That would be pretty good"
"Hmm it is" he muttered
"So anyway?"
"Oh... Well don't really have anyone but friends... Not close ones or anything just friends"
"Do you ever bring anyone close?" Rin asked... Kakashi sighed
"Rarely.., they just end up dead so there's really no point" kakashi whispered.. Rin looked down and frowned
"Sorry..."
"Don't worry about it.. It was years ago.. Nothing to worry about now"
"Do you usually tell people this?"
"... Nah" he muttered as he smiled to himself " I tend to keep to myself back in my world... Only the people i grew up around know about my past.., but your an exception aren't you?" Rin smiled as he chuckled "yeah your a special girl.. Aren't you?" He whispered pulling her close
"We close now?" Rin laughed at him and nodded
"Yeah we're close now" she muttered smiling as he smiled at her
"Special girl... Aren't ya?"
"I'm not"a
"Aren't ya~" he cooed. Rin began to blush as she denied it
"No I'm to a special girl"
"Yea you are~ admit it~ your a special girl and you know it~" he cooed making her blush a little darker
".... Fine I'm special...." She whispered making him hug her and smile
"Thank you for finally admitting it~" he whispered. Rin smiled and hugged back... Only to hear someone scream..
