Chapter Forty Nine

"Keys?" nilahad ni Jerome yung palad nya sa harap ko. nasa labas na kami ng Mansion.

i pressed the open button.

"Just get in the car J." i smiled at him and walked near the driver's seat pero hinabol nya ko bigla kaya tumakbo ako.

"Jerome! isa!" natatawang sabi ko. he looks at me with determination.

"Give that to me or i'll get it from you." he said firmly. binelatan ko sya saka tumakbo palayo sa kanya. si Leila naman tumatawa lang.

"Babe. tulungan mo naman ako. harangin mo si J." i shouted but J gave her a warning look kaya umiling lang si Leila saka ngumiti sakin and mouthed goodluck.

"J! isa! get away from me." i shouted while laughing. tumakbo sya papalapit sakin pero yumuko ako kaya nagkapalit kami ng pwesto tumakbo ako papalapit sa kotse.

"Venice! give the keys to me." nakasimangot na sabi nya. i laughed at him and stuck my tongue out. napangiti naman sya. saka tumalon sa bumper bago nakipag agawan ulit sakin ng susi.

"Give it to me or regret it in the end." he warned and smile playfully at me.

"aish! no way." hinila ko ulit yung braso ko na may hawak na susi.

"Fine." he said smiling and started tickling. napaigtad ako saka natawa.

"Kasi! naman" tumatawang sabi ko. panu ba naman di na ko tinigilan. halos nakayakap na sya sa bewang ko habang kinikiliti ako saka inaagaw yung susi sakin.

"Youre blocking my way." a cold voice interrupted us.

nakangiting napatingin ako dun sa nagsalita. my smile about to fade when J whispered.

"Keep smiling V. dont let it fade." he kissed my cheeks and stood up. he offered his hand to me. "come princess." i reached his hand and he pulled me up. pagtayo ko pinagpag nya yung dumi sakin saka inakbayan ako.

"Sorry Pare." he said smiling. he's not even apologetic. sira ulo talaga. tinignan ko lang si Lance. his teeth clenched and Alaine looked away.

"Do it on your lawn Lee. not here." he hissed before pulling Alaine to his car parked behind mine.

"Got it!" sabi nya sabay kuha ng susi sa kamay ko. "Lets go Princess. shows over..

For now." he said and smile widely before getting in the car.

"Panget ng lasa." binato ko si Jerome pagkasabi nya nun. asar. panget daw lasa ng seafood mix na ginawa ko.

"Hindi naman kuya eh. nang aasar ka lang." natatawang sabi ni Leila. nginitian ko si Leila saka kinindatan.

"sige J. wag ka nang kumain." kinuha ko yung plato sa harap nya pero hinila nya pabalik.

"Fine. masarap na. happy?" he said sarcastically. i flashed a sweet smile.

"Very much." sinimangutan nya lang ako saka kumain na ulit. i gave Leila a satisfied smile.

pagkakain namin naglaro pa kami ng scrabble saka nanuod ng movie bago natulog. si Leila sa tabi ko natulog. si J sa guest room.

"Ate. what if kuya still loves you. will you take him back?" Leila asked suddenly. i went sideward to face her.

"depende." i replied and touched her cheeks.

"Depends on what?" she asked.

"on how he'll win me back. if he really loves me he'll do everything just to have me back." i said softly. "but that would be impossible babe. he's getting married right? pabayaan na natin sila. if theyre happy. then lets just be happy for them babe."
