CAUTION: STRONG LANGUAGE AND ACTS OF VIOLENCE

I had made it to the building where Sam was supposed to be. I took a deep breath and snuck inside. I hid behind some old barrels and looked around the musty, dirty old room. I heard heavy footsteps and I felt my breath hitch, lodging itself in my throat. I made sure that I still had a view of the dimly lit middle area and crouched down slightly. The footsteps grew louder and louder, before halting. The dim, flickering lights were then replaced with brighter lights. Luckily, the light didn't reach the barrels. I waited for the footsteps to resume but, they didn't. Instead, a young male was thrown to the floor, coughing and panting.

It was Taurtis...

I wanted to run over to him. I wanted to comfort him and hug and kiss him. Unless I wanted to get him or myself hurt, I couldn't do those things. He sat up. His arms and ankles were tied, he had bruises on his body, his lip was stamped with blood. His hair was shaggy, covering his once lively brown eyes. I swear my stomach did a complete 360. Sam stepped out of the shadows. His eyes were the deepest red, deeper than the color of blood. His school uniform was bloody and dingy. He smirked and walked around Taurtis. He would occasionally kick Taurtis or nudge him around.

"Y'know, Taurtis, I had entrusted you with my friendship. Then you go and break it by getting all lovey-dovey with y-y/n.." Sam's smirk and crazed eyes faded into a soft smile and eyes. "Oh y/n... So beautiful, perfect. She's an angel sent to earth for fear of being to beautiful.." He walked over to a wall, covered by a cloth attached with hooks. He brushed it aside, revealing a wall of pictures, all of me. I couldn't describe how creeped out I was. Some were normal pictures, me smiling and being a goofball, but there were a few pictures that I obviously never took. There was a shot of me looking in the mirror in the girls bathroom, one of me in my swimsuit in the locker room, even one of me walking home. I was very disturbed. Sam let his fingers dance across the pictures. Taurtis squirmed and growled. Sam chuckled and turned to face him.

"Oh Taurtis... You think that I'm stupid. You've loved y/n since 3rd grade." It was then, that moment, that made my world slow down. It's true. Taurtis liked me since we first met. In fact, he would always be my partner, in crime and projects.

Taurtis and I sat on the swings. I smiled at him and he blushed and looked away. Sam walked up to us. "Hi y-y/n.." He looked at the ground to hide his face. I greeted him. "Hey Taurtis, wanna join our kickball game?" He nodded and asked if I could join. Sam agreed and we all walked over to the field. We decided to do two teams. "Y/n!" I glanced at Sam, who was walking up to me. "Y/n? Will you be on my team?" Taurtis asked, poking my arm. I didn't think that Sam would ask me to play with him so I agreed to go with him. I nodded and he grabbed my wrist and we ran to our side. Sam stopped and sighed, teaming up with the other kid.
"Taurtis loves y/n!" The kids ganged up on Taurtis, teasing him. Taurtis blushed and looked at the ground. "T-that's no true!!" Sam stood near the big oak in the field and smirked. 'Good... Taurtis will regret taking y/n from me.."

The flashback hit me like a truck. I watched as Sam crouched next to Taurtis. He pulled out a knife and held it against Taurtis's throat, leaving a small cut. Taurtis winced, not making a sound. Sam chuckled darkly and put the knife away. Sam grabbed Taurtis's collar and lifted him up. "LOOK AT ME YOU F**CKING JERK!" I cringed as the slap echoed throughout the room. Taurtis spat at him. "I will never give in to you, you sick creep!" Sam dropped Taurtis and wiped his face off. He smirked. "Okay.. Be that way.. I'll just be a living hell." He kicked Taurtis in the stomach, causing Taurtis to groan and cough. Sam then pushed his foot down onto his throat. I ran out from my space and tackled Sam. "Y-Y/N?!" I started sobbing as I punched him over and over again. He picked me off of him and forced me into a hug.

I pushed him off of me and punched him once more. "I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!!" Sam looked taken aback. I fell to my knees and covered my face with my hands. Sam bent down next to me and lifted my chin up, wiping away a tear. "Y/n? Shhh..." I hoped he heard the venom practically dripping out of my voice.

"BACK OFF." He stepped back. I glanced at Taurtis, and inched over to him. I traced his cuts and bruises lightly. He looked up at me through his shaggy hair. He smiled lightly but was soon shoved across the room. Sam knelt in front of me and smiled.
"Y/n.. We can live in interrupted love now that Taurtis is out of the way." I sobbed and shook my head, repeatedly saying no.
"P-please!" Sam brushed a lock of my hair out of my face. My body shook with every breath I let out. I looked up at Sam. "Please. Let Taurtis go and I-I'll stay with you..." Sam smiled and pulled me into a hug.
"Ahh I knew you would love me!" I glanced over his shoulder at Taurtis. I blinked away a tear and mouthed to him.

"I'm so sorry..."

Sam helped me up and patted my cheek lightly. He walked over to Taurtis and untied him. Taurtis shifted around, rubbing his wrists. Sam wrapped his arm around me and we started walking back to his house. "Y/n... All we have to do is pack and we can start a new life. A better life." He kissed me and whispered in my ear.

"Our life..."
