Chapter 8

Marco's P.O.V.

"Marco! Sweetie can you come downstairs? I want to take a picture of you and Star before you two go to the dance."
"Sure mom, be down in a second." I grunted. The dance was in a half an hour, and there was still so much I had to do. To be honest, I didn't really know how I felt about the dance. I mean I probably should've been excited, and a small part of me was, but I really wished I was going with the real Star, my Star, but as soon as I kiss her tonight, everything will be back to normal.
Anyways, I finished tying my tie, and ran downstairs.
"Oh my gosh, Marco, you look so handsome," my mom said as she ran towards me in an attempt to embrace me.
"Uh, thanks mom," I said trying to catch my breath as my mom was squeezing the life out of me. "Do you know if Star's going to be ready soon?" I wasn't eager to go to the dance but I wasn't that eager of staying here any longer either. I was really impatient, but I didn't know what for.
My mom shrugged her shoulders signaling to me that she didn't know, why would she know? But right on cue, I heard Star's heels clicking with every step she took down the hallway, and as she slowly walked down the stairs I starred at her in awe. Even though Star has been acting crazy for the past few days, she still managed to make me speechless, like she always did whenever she dressed up. And once she finished walking down the stairs in perfect gracefulness, she spun in a circle to model the rest of the dress.
"So, how do I look?" Star asked with that normal light in her eyes, which was unlike her recently deranged self.
"Wow Star," my mom said with confidence. "You look amazing, but hold on, I have a necklace that would go perfectly with that dress," She started towards the stairs. "I'll be right back," she called to us as she ran to her room.
I was still starring at Star, for some reason I couldn't take my eyes off of her.
"Marco?" Star said with that darker voice of hers. "How do I look?"
"Oh um..." I said with hesitation. I didn't know what to say, she looked a bright and shining star, with that beautiful blue and silver attire but I couldn't say that to her. So I just said the only words I could manage to get out. "You look beautiful."
"Thanks Marco," Star said as she curtsied. "You clean up nice too." I was still starring at Star, and Star finally saw. "Hey, Marco... My eyes are up here," she then attempted to wink again, but she still failed miserably. That broke me out of my trace, but then she leaned close and whispered in my ear, "Are you excited for that kiss tonight? I know I am, want a little sneak peak?" She lightly kissed my cheek, and I could feel my face getting hot. "Be right back." I put my hand on my face where she kissed me, and I could still feel the coat of lipgloss leftover on my cheek.
"I got it! Star I got it!" My mom ran down the stairs with a beautiful I'm assuming fake diamond necklace. "Where's Star?" I still had my hand on my face, and I was still as red as a tomato. "Marco? Are you okay?" I stopped zoning out and once I realized my mom saw me like this I was blushing for a whole new reason.
"Oh yeah I'm fine. I don't know where Star went."
"I'm back," Star said walking out of the kitchen. "I just needed a glass of water because I was very thirsty." When she said that, she was starring right at me, and I was mortified. "Anyways, shall we go to the dance?"
"Sure, I just want to take a picture of you two together," My mom said as she turned on the camera. "Get ready." Me and Star stood in front of the stairs and put our hands around each other's waists. "Okay, 3, 2," at the very last moment Star squeezed my butt then returned it to my waist causing me to blush furiously. "Okay, let's go to the dance."
"I'm very excited! How about you Marco?" Star said licking her lips. "I heard it's going to be imPECKable, wouldn't KISS it for the world, can't wait to shake my LIPS to the music!" I really hope my mom didn't hear that...
"Haha, yeah. I'm soooo excited!"

Hey guys! I have 4 things I need to say.

1. I am SO sorry for those terrible puns... I know they were really bad, so I apologize.

2. I lied, this isn't the last chapter, but I promise it's not going to be a 3 month wait. I'm gonna start writing it now, I just wanted to give you guys something. It's a late Christmas present (if you don't celebrate Christmas it's a Holiday gift) :)

3. I'm so sorry for making you guys wait so long. Not only did I have a bunch of school work, and not only did basketball season start for me, but I've been facing the worst case of writers block. I just had this wave of un-creativity hit me, like I haven't even been posting that much on my Instagram (gravity.gem (follow me ;))) or my tumblr (multifxndom-mess (#shamelessselfpromo)) But don't worry, I'm back and I'm inspired!

4. Oh My Glob! This story had more than 10,000 reads!!! Thank you all so much! You guys make it so enjoyable to write this story. You guys are so supportive of me thank you so much I love you all. Also thank you to all of the people who are following me. (if your not following me you should ;))
