Stranded: A Percabeth Fanfic

The truth about Annabeth

Percy woke up and rolled over, expecting to feel Annabeth, but she wasn't there.

"Hey wise girl!" He called. No response.

He stood up and wandered the island until he found her rewriting the washed away SOS in the sand.

"Hey, why'd you...." Said Percy as he reached for her hand.

"Don't touch me!" Said Annabeth.

"Woah, there wise girl." Said Percy. "I thought you were starting to like me"

"That's the problem, I am starting to like you."

"You like me? Like "like" like?"

"Yea, and the last time that happened with someone, I almost ended up killing myself."

"Oh, can you tell me why?" Asked Percy reaching for her hand again.

"I said don't touch me!" Snapped Annabeth again. She started walking away from him, but suddenly tripped over on a rock. She fell and felt a flash of pain on her her knee.

"I'm sorry if I pushed you too much" said Percy as he bandaged her wound with medical supplies from the lifeboat's first aid kit. "I know it's probably a really sensitive subject, and I shouldn't have asked"

"It's okay seaweed brain. I'm sorry for being so snappy." Replied Annabeth. "It's a long story, and not even my best friend knows it."

"Do you know what we need? Asked Percy. "Hydrotherapy. I saw a waterfall when we were wandering the first day."

"That sounds nice." Said Annabeth. "I mean you do kinda stink seaweed brain"

Percy smiled.

They were standing under a waterfall, letting the water pour over them.

"His name was Luke" Annabeth said all of a sudden. "I was a sophomore, and he was a senior. Everyone thought it was just a crush, and so did I. But that was before he noticed me in the library one day, crying. My mom had left my dad for no reason, and I was crushed. He hugged me, and told me it was okay. Then the asked if I wanted to hang out with him and his friend Thaila. I said yes. Luke and Thalia were like my second family. The Thalia suddenly disappeared. I don't know where she went. It was just me and Luke. Then all of sudden, somthing came over Luke, like he was possessed. You can imagine it went down hill from there. I don't really want to talk about the rest, but Luke eneded up dead in the end. I wanted to kill myself, but my dad stopped me. It took a little while to recover, but I did, and I vowed to never fall for someone again. I would rather die alone then go though that again."

"Annabeth" Percy said. "I would never want to hurt you like that, and do you know what? I love you. And even if somthing did posses me, I would still love you, no matter what.

Annabeth had tears in her eyes. She leaned over and kissed Percy on the lips. "I love you too, Seaweed Brain" she pulled away, the tackled him under the water.

Percy kissed her, and it was the best underwater kiss ever.
