Percy heard somthing. He shook Annabeth awake.
"Wise Girl wake up! I hear a helicopter!"
Annabeth didn't hear him at first, so Percy shook her some more.
"Annabeth! A helicopter!!!"
She jolted awake.
"Do you have the gun?"
"Yup"
"Well what are you waiting for? Fire it!!"
Percy fired the bullet into the air, and him and Annabeth ran to the shore, screaming and waving there arms like crazy.
***Helicoper pilots POV***
He didn't know his name, but the scientist sitting next to him was the most annoying person in the world. The guy didn't know how to shut up.
"So then I told my mother that I am strong independent man, and that I WILL become a successful scientist. However she said I should be an accountant like my father..." He babbled.
The pilot tried to focus on the sky, but somthing caught his eye. They were...people? They were waving, and it seemed like they were calling for help.
"So I then had to decide what my major in college was going to be. I decided oceanography, because I loved the movie Finding Nemo, however it wasn't the fish that intrested me, but the waves. The beautiful waves. So I joined a lab that studied the pattern of the waves, and one day we noticed some strange patterns around this area, and I was the first to volunteer to check them out" he continued to babble.
The pilot finally lost his patience. "For crying out loud will you SHUT UP!!! I think I see people down their that need our help."
That got the scientist's attention. "Well what are you waiting for! LAND THIS HEICOPTER!!"
The pilot did just so.
***Percy and Annabeth's POV***
"They're landing!" Cried Annabeth "Percy we're saved!!!"
The helcoper landed and a guy in a lab coat stepped out.
"Children! How on earth did you get stranded on this island? We must get you home right away!
"Did he just call us children?" Percy whispered to Annabeth.
Annabeth ignored him. "Oh my gosh thank you so much for rescuing us!" Exclaimed Annbeth.
"well let's just get you two home" said the pilot
