Piper's POV

All the teachers made them meet in the lobby before they left for the work site. But Piper still hadn't seen Annabeth, she had just assumed she got off the boat as fast as she could when they docked and got back to the hotel faster. Piper was too tired to turn on the lights when she got to the room, so she didn't know if she was in bed last night.

As she stood in the lobby with the rest of her classmates, she still didn't know where Annabeth was. She then felt a figure hug her from behind. "Jason" she said with a smile.

"Hey Pipes" he said. "Have you seen Percy? I didn't see him last night"

"I haven't seen Annabeth either" said Piper

They were interrupted when their history teacher stood on a chair to make an announcement.

"An anonymous source has told me that some of you snuck onto a part boat last night. I have had other sources to confirm this. As your teacher, I am very disappointed in you all. How do you think this represents the school? I'm sorry to those of you who didn't go on the boat, but because we can't trust some of you, the staff and I have no choice but to send everyone home. Our flight will be departing at 3:00, so I suggest you all go and pack your things."

Piper groaned with the rest of her class, but went to her room to go pack her things. When she opened the door, Annabeth still wasn't there. "It's fine" she told herself. It's fine.

Later everyone met in the lobby again to take attendance. "Annabeth Chase" the teacher called. Silence. "Annabeth?" The teacher called again.

Piper felt sick to her stomach. She went up to her English teacher. "Um, excuse me, but Annabeth isn't here. She was on the boat last night, and I don't think she ever came home." Jason came up behind her. "Also, I think Percy Jackson is gone too."

The school immediately contacted Annabeth and Percy's parents. A full search was called and the police searched the whole island, but no sign of Percy and and Annabeth. Then helicopters were sent out to search the sea, but still no sign was found.
