Chapter Four: Hanging Upside Down

Next morning another day of training started.

They are to begin how to use the 3DMG or 3D Maneuver Gear, an equipment used to kill a Titan.

They are now lining in the row waiting for their name to be called.

The objectives of this training is to keep their balance while being hanging above from the ground by two ropes connected on their gear belt.

"LEVI ACKERMAN!" The Commander yelled on his name.

He walk heading to the front with his usual bored face. He wears his gear and the other Trainees connect the rope on him.

"PULL IT UP!" The Commander ordered as the rope was slowly taking him off from the ground.

The Trainee's were startled looking at him with his perfect balanced being hung up.

"PERFECT!" the commander mutters as he ordered to put him down.

Levi passed the test and the other trainees were being amazed on him.

Well, that's a cliché for the Top Trainee at this Squad.

Talking about being 'Amazing' , could Hanji pass this training?

"HANJI ZOE!" The Commander yelled her name.

There she is.. Walking with those cheesy wide smile.
She wear her gear belt and connect the ropes on it.

The ropes are slowly lifting her body from the ground, little by little.

'Don't mess around this time.. Four eyes!' Levi mutters on his mind as he watch Hanji slowly lifting up from the ground.

All of the trainees were amazed on Hanji seeing her in that perfect view. She was now on her balanced with those ropes lifted her from the ground.

"WELL DONE MISS ZOE!" The Commander yelled to congratulate her, as she gave them a wide smile on her lips.

They were about to put her down when..

BLAM!!

She turned upside down landing her head on the ground.

"Ah! Dammit!" She groan in pain and annoyment trying to get up.

The trainees were making fun of her and laughing as she saw Levi on his face palm smirk.

"Almost a victory.. Four-eyes" Levi mutters in an under tone as her put his hands on his pocket.

"ZOE! GET HER DOWN AND DO IT AGAIN!" The Commander ordered as they do what he commanded.

- Time Skip

After an almost 20 times of Failure Hanji did, they finally decided to do it for one more time.

Hanji were always making it from the start but only for 2 minutes, then she'll be hanging upside down, having her head landed on the ground.

Poor Hanji, now having her head ache.

"This is for the last time, Zoe!" The Commander told them as the other trainees were bored watching her.

Levi was there standing at her front, watching her land her head voilently at the ground.

Hanji lift up once more by those ropes. It was again perfect but then?

BLAM!

She hits the floor.

All of them widened their eyes, including the Commander and Levi.

Hanji having her head bleeding as she lands on the ground.

Her belt scattered away from her as it carries her. Levi runs up at her grabbing her up as he saw her belt. He clicked his tongue and he stared at Hanji's unconscious face, be couldn't help but pity.

The Commander goes at them as Levi threw his eyes at him. "Why didn't they checked the gear belt?" He ask in a stern voice. The commander wide his eyes open as Levi speak once again. "She was using a broken belt. All this time." Levi then leave with Hanji on his arms, carrying her in a bridal style to bring her at the Infirmary.

"She kept her balance.. Using a broken belt?" The Commander whisper at himself with his vision are focused on Levi and Unconscious Hanji. "That freaky kid.." He smirks and look up to the sky. "I know she's something special."

Levi was sitting beside at Hanji while she was sleeping. She was now treated and sleeping, suddenly she opens her eyes and rubs it.

"W-where's my glasses..?" She weakingly asked the guy sitting beside her, she can't see who it is because of her blurry visions.

The guy step closer at her and put her glasses by himself.

Hanji saw clearly who was this guy after he put her glasses. "L-levi?" She ask with her lifeless voice. "W-what happened?" She ask him trying to sit.

Levi clicked his tongue and pin her body back to bed. "Stay still.. You haven't regain your strenght yet.." He hisses at her.

Hanji felt her cheek burning as her heart beating fast. "You colapsed after landing your shitty head on the ground for the 21th time, four-eye." He said gently at her as Hanji slowly remembers everything. She sighs and look down. "I really can't do it.. What a failure i am.." She said while smiling sadly at herself.

Levi frowns at her, but he tries to hide it as he poke her head on its bandage. "Aww! Why??" Hanji reacted from the pain she felt and looks at Levi. "That's because your belt is broken.." He says quitely and looks at Hanji. "H-huh?.." Hanji replied with a puzzeled face. "Your belt is broken.. That's why you always end up hanging upside down after making up your balance." He added with his usual voice.

Hanji wide her eyes open, not believing at any of his words. "You mean.." She mutters at herself befofe Levi cuts her word. "You pass it, right from the start where you lift above the ground, plus the fact that you made it with a broken gear.. Idiot, you pass the test." He said with a smirk leaning his head on the wall.

"Woahahaaa!!" She let out a cheerful shout and stretch out her hand, the pain crept onto her head, remembering that she's not fully recovered yet. "A-aww.." She groan in pain feeling it.

Levi smirks and shake his head twice. "You careless shit-face."

"Uh, Levi?" Hanji called his name with her face blushing.

"Yeah?" Levi replied with his usual emotionless voice as he looks at Hanji.

"W-what do i look like?.. Being hanging upside down?" She asked Levi with her face being fully red.

"You look Shit, well as always." He replied with his sarcastic voice which made Hanji chuckled.

"Yeah, what do i expect? I always look Shit.. " She smiled and frowns at the end of those smiles of her hiding a tear from her eyes. 'Dammit! Why do i have to ask that, i definitely know the answer.. You stupid Hanji!' She hisses at her mind looking at the window as she felt one hands at her shoulders.

Hanji while blushing happened to look at the one who's holding her at her shoulders.

"L-levi.." She whispers his name quitely as she stares at Levi.

"Back there.. You were the most Beautiful Shit-face being.. Hanging upside down.." He stated as his cheeks glow rosy.

'Damn you Shortcake.. You're sending me chills..' She whispered at herself while being on her red face situation.

"W-well.. I wish.. I was forever hanging upside down.. Eh?" She chuckles sheepishly.

Levi return at his usual face and pull his hands away. "Leave that fucking wish of yours shitty glasses ." He turns away after saying those words with his emotionless voice.

' Oh damn.. I think i could really wish to be Hang upside down forever!' Hanji grinned happily with her cheeks blushing.
