"she's completely delusional," mrs. martinez muttered to her husband.
"we can't let her live her like this. she needs some sort of help," mr. martinez replied, nodding. doctor frangipane sighed.
"well, you have three options: take her home to try to give her a normal life, take her home but giver her daily therapy sessions with me, or the most effective option, send her to a mental institute."
the martinez's looked at each other. "the third option," they said in unison.
"alright. you'll have to buy clothing for her since she's obviously outgrown her old ones. she also needs things like a hairbrush, toothbrush, things like that. the institute provided food and daily group therapy, and therapy sessions alone twice a week. she'll have a room where she'll have one roommate," doctor frangipane informed the martinez's. the two nodded.
"we'll go get her stuff and pack it for her. you can send her to the institute and we'll bring her bags in. if that's okay with you, that is," mrs. martinez suggested. doctor frangipane nodded.
"sounds good. we'll get mel to the institute now and you can her things."
melanie sat on her bed, tears on the brink of falling from her eyes.
"this isn't fair!" she yelled at doctor frangipane. the doctor sighed.
"i'm sorry, melanie. we're just here to help you," doctor frangipane smiled sympathetically. melanie glared at her.
"i'm not insane. you're ashley! my girlfriend! my parents kicked me out for being bisexual, we met on instagram, we had a hug group chat on kik with a bunch of friends!" melanie exclaimed.
"that was a dream, melanie," doctor frangipane said calmly. "we aren't in a relationship, your parents never kicked you out, we never had a big group chat, you never tried to kill yourself."
"why doesn't anyone believe me?" melanie screamed.
