mel jolted awake at the feeling of someone shaking her.

"who the fuck and what the fuck-" melanie turned to see ashley. "oh."

"you gotta get up. we have group therapy," ashley groaned. "i don't wanna go but we have to, so get your ass out of bed."

"well, fuck you too," melanie muttered as she climbed out of bed. she quickly got ready and followed ashley down the hallway to the dreaded group therapy.

several people were sitting in seats that were placed around the room in a circle. melanie sighed and sat down next to ashley. a girl with short, bright pink hair sat on the other side of melanie.

"well, i think we have everyone," ashley said cheerfully. "so, welcome to group therapy. we have several newcomers, so please go around and say your name and why you're here. starting with you." ashley pointed to melanie.

"um, my name's melanie," melanie stammered. "i'm here because of minor depression and being a bit delusional."

the girl with bright pink hair was next. "i'm ariel. i'm here because i have an eating disorder."

a girl with auburn, wavy hair was next. she looked exactly like lizzy. "i'm elizabeth. here for an eating disorder."

it went on like that for a few minutes before everyone had introduced themselves.

"alright, well, let's say one reason we should get better," ashley said with fake cheer. it was easy to tell that she wasn't very happy with what the lead doctors made her do in group therapy. the girl with the bright pink hair raised her hand. "ariel, why would you like to get better?"

"so i can get out of this hell," the pink-haired girl said before rolling her eyes.

"oh. love the enthusiasm," ashley muttered.
