"Good morning, Remus."

He looked taken aback. She looked better than ever and it seemed as if Sirius' devastating death had never taken place.

"You look good." He said.

She gave a small smile. "So they vacated the house? Grimmauld Place?"

He nodded.

"Well, I have to go there. Now. I'll see you around, Remus. Thanks for having me in your house. You're very kind."

She went to Grimmauld and retrieved a brown envelope. Then, just as she was about to leave, she opened his cupboard and pulled out his jacket, which she stuffed into her large handbag.

"Hello, Albus." She entered his office.

"How are you, dear Ariana?" He asked, gently.

"Better." She assured. "I'm here to give you this. His will."

"Oh." He answered, taking the envelope from her. "Oh..."

"And Albus..." She started. "I've been thinking and... I had this idea... don't think that I'm crazy or anything but... it seems likely... everything fits."

"Oh really? And what is that idea?" He asked, curiously.

She ran her tongue over her lower lip. "Horcruxes."

It was merely a whisper, as if she was scared the word would scar or burn her tongue.

His eyes widened. There was a long silence. Ari stared at him as he turned pale and fell into deep thought.

She waited as he paced the room, running his long fingers through his silvery hair.

"Yes." He murmured, looking straight at Ari. "Yes, it's possible. What brought you to this conclusion, Ariana?"

She sighed. "I just thought over it... for a while... you see, I wondered why he didn't die in Godric's Hollow. Perhaps it was because the spell had merely backfired, not been cast on him. But then, I thought that it was a killing curse, wasn't it? So partial death wasn't an option at all... then, I thought that maybe, a part of him was alive... I remembered what you told me about the Diary in Harry's 2nd year... Riddle was a memory, and a part of his soul as you guessed it could be... but you weren't sure, right? It was merely a guess. And Harry's scar... his visions. So it all just came tumbling down on me and I went through his history and all that stuff. I'm sure, he has not one, but many Horcruxes... surely, you have thought of this before?"

"Indeed, I have. But as you have just stated, it was a guess. But now, it seems much more possible... this could be the answer, Ariana. But the question is... What are they?"

"You said... you said he was fond of important, valuable objects... so I wondered, whether Slytherins locket? I read about it somewhere and I believe it was lost about 40-50 years ago... around the time he was here... and... there was a ring. Marvolo Gaunt's ring... perhaps, it could be one. And the snake, maybe? The diary was one, surely. And so is Harry... if living things can be Horcruxes, I suppose..."

He nodded. "I'm impressed, Ariana... I can track down the ring and destroy it... the others... we'll see..."

She smiled. Maybe that was the answer. Maybe, her godson truly stood a chance to survive. Maybe, her loved ones could finally be avenged...
