The End

She woke up with a start. It wasn't as if she had a nightmare, she hadn't had one in years... she just couldn't sleep.

This restlessness wasn't new. She was having this weird feeling since morning. She could feel it... his presence.

Getting off the bed, she walked over to her mirror. Her face was slightly wrinkled and her hair were silvery white, reaching her shoulders. Her eyes were just the same.

"100 years." She thought. "I've lived for a 100 years."

On her ebony side table, lay a telephone, an answering machine and a piece of parchment. With her thin, long finger, she pressed the button on the answering machine.

"Hey, Ari." Said Teddy's voice. "I wish I could come to see you but... Victoire's just getting worse. The Healers said she might not make it and I don't know what to do... and... I just wanna promise that I'll come over soon. I love you, okay? Take care."

She smiled. Her finger lingered over the piece of parchment. It was a will. Her will. She had divided everything in four pieces. One went to Harry. One to Teddy. The third piece was divided between all the Weasleys. The fourth was left to Luna Lovegood, Neville Longbottom, all surviving members of the Order and the Moonstones (her last link to Potter Manor).

On a shelf, lay a book, War. She wrote it years ago and it was a bestseller. It had three parts, the Martyrs, the Soldiers and the Victims. It had helped her get rid of the fire inside and the pain became easier to bear.

Old age brought peace and serenity and endurance and she learned to accept what had happened...

She sighed. If only this strange feeling went away...

She sat down in bed and pulled the blanket up to her neck. She closed her eyes for a second. Then, it happened and she opened her eyes again.

They were standing in front of her. She got up and walked slowly towards them.

"Has it happened?"

"Yes." Said Sirius, smiling.

She was wearing midnight blue robes and once again, she was the 33 year old Ari. She glanced back at her bed. She was dead.

She laughed, slightly hysterical. "About time." She giggled.

Lily giggled, too. "You made it so far. Farther than all of us combined."

"Impressed." Smiled James.

"And grateful." Said Remus. "Thanks for everything you've done for Teddy." He smiled.

"Let's go." Said Sirius.

And they set off, hand in hand, with the other three walking in their wake... the friends were reunited, for once and forever.

THE END.
