Chapter 11 → Zabuza Momochi

Emiko's POV

"If it isn't Zabuza Momochi, one of the 7 Swordsmen of the Mist."

Zabuza?! Oh no, I still have to think of a plan to save his and Haku's lives! And I'm not sure that a week will be enough to both train and come up with a good plan. I guess I have to use that jutsu... Luckily Jay left me all the things necessary to perform that jutsu, so all I have to do is wait for the right moment and strike!

I was so lost in my thoughts that when I got back to reality I saw Kakashi and Zabuza performing the same hand seals. Kakashi shouted something, and a huge wave formed behind him, rushing towards a surprised Zabuza. Luckily Tazuna, Sasuke, Sakura and I were not in the destructive range of the wave. Naruto was hanging on a branch for dear life, I guess being in the way of such a strong jutsu is not pleasant at all. When the wave hit Zabuza, it carried him for a few meters and Zabuza was thrown towards a tree, hitting it with his back. The wave dissipated, leaving puddles around Zabuza.

Three... Kakashi walked towards Zabuza.

Two... Zabuza asked something to Kakashi, but I couldn't hear him, because they were too far.

One... Kakashi shouted "This will be your last battle!" And was ready to strike him, when Haku made his appearance. Haku threw senbon needles at Zabuza, hitting his neck.

This was my cue to join Kakashi, so I ran towards him. Kakashi placed two fingers by Zabuza's neck to check if there was a pulse. "There is no pulse, he's dead." He finally announced.

Naruto then joined us, and poited an accusing finger at Haku. "Who the hell are you?!"  "Naruto, calm down. He's a tracker nin from the Mist, he's not the enemy." Kakashi placed his hand on Naruto's shoulder to calm him down. "But how, Kakashi-sensei! He looks younger than me, but he took Zabuza down so fast! Zabuza is strong and big, yet this kid killed him in seconds!"

"In this world there are kids who are younger than you, yet stronger than me." Was Kakashi's reply.

"You were right, this was his last battle. I am indeed a tracker nin from the Village Hidden in the Mist, and I have been hunting Zabuza down for some time. Thanks to you I finally killed him. I have to go now. Thank you again." Haku then took Zabuza's body and left.

I turned to Kakashi, when he suddenly collapsed. I tried to keep him up, but he was too heavy for me. Luckily Sasuke came and helped me by holding his other side. "You can rest at my house, it's not far from here." Tazuna suggested.

"What happened to Kakashi-sensei?" Sakura asked, concerned for our sensei.

"He overused the Sharingan. He is just exhausted, he'll be fine. Don't worry." I reassured her. Sasuke glanced at me from the corner of his eyes for a second, before looking forward again.

I can't believe it, I was thinking so much that I didn't see the fight between my teammates and Zabuza. Luckily everything happened like the anime. It means that the plot is not changing much because Jay and I are here. Good to know.
