“We both know you are out of bullets and you manage to piss off Umbrella landing you on the hit list."
“You work for Umbrella.” She said narrowing her eyes at me.
“We’re both former Umbrella employees, we don’t work for them anymore,” I replied.
“We should get going, those doors won’t hold them back for long.” Alice said.
The dead were banging against the doors, threatening to break them down at any moment.
“Follow me, there’s a back door we can leave through.” Jill said.
I threw my gun at her and she caught it. “You’re going to need that.” I said as she checked the ammo.
She nodded at me and we proceeded towards the exit.
“You do know we are going to have to go through a graveyard right?” I whispered to Alice.
“Why are you scared?” She replied.
I smirked and smacked her arm,” Um it's the freaking zombie apocalypse and we are walking through a field of undead.”
We quietly exited the cathedral and headed into the creepy graveyard. Everything was quiet until the guy in front of us began to moan and clutch his leg. In a flash Alice and I aimed our guns at him. “You’ve been bit.” Alice stated.
"It's nothing personal." I shrugged. "In an hour of two, you'll be dead. After that you will probably try to kill us all."
Jill pointed her guns at us and said,” When the time comes I will kill him myself, but right now he isn’t one of them.”
The tension in the air was thick enough that I could slice through it will my knife.
I shrugged and lowered my gun,” If you don’t kill him I will make sure to put a bullet in his head.”
Everyone lowered their guns when suddenly the reporter screamed. A hand emerged from the ground and gripped her leg. I quickly shot it and soon the dead buried underneath us began to crawl towards the surface.
One tried to sneak up from behind me and I quickly kicked it in the jaw effectively snapping its neck. In the corner of my eye I could see Alice round house kicking a zombie in the face.
I snapped the neck of an advancing zombie and glance around. Alice finished off her zombie and I giggled. It had landed on a tombstone that said Rest In Peace.
She glanced at me weirdly and I said,” What? He’s resting in pieces now.”
Jill was actually pretty good at kicking butt, she was able to defeat any undead in her way. Alice smiled at me and we continued our way through the graveyard. We entered a street empty of life, burned up cars lined the road long abandoned.
I said, “So what should we do now?”
Alice was about to respond when a pay phone started ringing. No one made a move to pick it up so I did.
A familiar voice spoke,” Hello Amelia.”
“I didn’t think I would be hearing from you Doc.” I answered.
“I need your help, Angela is missing and I need you to find her. I can help you get out of the city if you choose to accept.”
“Well it’s not like I have anything better to do, where was she last seen?”
“I believe that she is hiding in her school.” He said.
“Please find her and stay safe.” The call ended.
The others looked at me expectantly, “I found a way out.”
“We need to find a girl but she’s halfway across town.”
“If we find her, an extraction team will get us out of the city.”
“Well what are we waiting for? Let’s go.” Alice responded.
“Where are we headed?”
“Raccoon City Elementary,” I said.
