Alice took out her weapons and put them on an empty table. "Holy shit." Luther gasped.

"A girl's got to have her toys." I smirked pulling out the various knives concealed on my body. I unholstered my gun and began to clean them, making sure everything was working well. Alice took out her pouch of coins and started stacking them.

"What would you possibly want with those?" He asked.

"It's a hobby." Alice replied.

"Don't ask." I said, already used to Alice's funny quirks.

"I'll see you in the morning." Luther said before walking away.

We sat in silence, enjoying each others company. Alice was done stacking her coins and my guns and knives were polished to a shine. 'Let's go to sleep." I said packing my things away.

We headed  to an empty cell and hunkered down on the bunks. "Good night Alice." I said.

"Good night Amy." She replied.

I closed my eyes and fell asleep without any memories playing over and over in my head for once.

Morning came and I woke up to see Alice still asleep. I quietly left her there and went down to the cafeteria. Luther was busy eating and chatting with Crystal. I greeted them and asked Luther," You wouldn't happen to have running water would you?" I grinned as he said," This way milady."

I took a quick shower and felt slightly cleaner than before, I dried my wet hair with a towel and went to the roof looking for Claire. She was busy staring at the city and I stood there beside her.

"Do you remember anything?" I asked.

"Yeah just bits and pieces, nothing that makes sense though."

"Well I'm pretty unforgettable." I said trying to make her laugh.

"I'm sure you are." She said smiling slightly.

"It's okay, you'll remember in time." I said reassuringly.

"Hopefully." She whispered.

We stood there in silence when Alice came up behind us, slightly flustered. "We have a problem." She said.

We followed her to the showers and glanced down at the dead zombies.

"It seems like they dug there way up from the sewers." I said because of the rotten stench coming from the hole.

"Wendell said he heard things moving in the walls." Luther added.

"So these things can burst up from nowhere?" Bennett said starting to freak out.

"We have to get out of here." Everyone said panicking.

"Arcadia will help us." Crystal said.

"No one is coming to save us, we have to save ourselves." Bennett said.

"These people are kind of hopeless, I guess not everyone can be as strong as Alice and I are." I thought.

I could see the cogs in Alice's brain moving as she thought up a plan. Even before the apocalypse the only person I could fully trust and rely on was Alice.

"Thank God she's on my side." I thought.
