*BELL RINGS FOR END OF SCHOOL*
Everyone hurries out of the class, Mark was in the same math class as me so we sort of bumped into each other on the way out.
We both laugh.
"Oh sorry," Mark laughed.
"It's fine," I laugh back.
We both carry on talking as we make our way to our lockers to pack up.
While I was packing up the books I needed, Mark turned and looked at me again.
"Do you wanna like, come over for a bit? We could do homework and stuff," he asked.
"Yeah, that'd be fun," I smiled back, and nodded.
I texted my mum and followed Mark out the front of the school.
"My Mum's really busy at work right now, I think we'll need to walk back," Mark said, reading a text off his phone. I'm guessing it was from his Mum.
"Oh that's fine, I needed a bit of exercise," I chuckle and start walking forward.
"Wait up!" Mark called after me laughing and caught up with me.
Walking back with Mark was fun, I don't think I wasn't smiling for a second.
*OUTSIDE MARK'S HOUSE*
"Come on in," Mark gestured and unlocked the front door.
I walked into the front room, and looked round. It was really big, the ceilings were tall and there was a lot of large furniture spaces out.
"I think it's just us, unless my sister's back," Mark said looking round, "Lucy? Lucy are you back yet?!" He shouted up the stairs.
"Yes, weirdo I'm back," his sister called back down the stairs. I smiled at that. Mark laughed and made his way to the kitchen.
"You hungry?" He asked.
"I think I'm fine for the minute, " I replied and plonked down my bag on the floor.
"Suit yourself then," Mark laughed and closed the cupboard.
We sat doing homework for a while and Mark got up.
"What you doing?" I ask sitting up, puzzled.
"I just need to grab my laptop, I'll be back in a minute," he shouted back as he was already half way up the stairs.
"Oh ok," I said back and carried on with my last bit of work.
Mark made his way downstairs again carrying his laptop.
"I'm done with everything I need in for tomorrow," I said, packing up my bag.
"Oh, I've still got English left, which you can help me out with." We both laughed at that.
He opened up his laptop on a site called 'YouNow'.
"What's that?" I asked him.
"Oh my god how on earth haven't I already told you about this before," Mark said back, surprised.
He explained that he broadcasts on there nearly everyday, and that he's well known on well, the Internet.
"I still don't know how you haven't told me about that already," I laugh as I pull out my phone.
"I know, I'm such a bad friend," Mark chuckles back and closed his laptop.
"No you're not," I say back and lean my head on his shoulder. I feel his head lean over mine, and we sort of sat there for a bit, both smiling.
"How about I broadcast?" Mark suggests.
"Sure, that would be cool," I smile back at him and let him set it all up.
In seconds he had nearly 4000 people watching. The chat was flooding with, 'Who's that?' or 'is that your girlfriend?' And things like that. Mark explained that we were just good friends from school.
"Have you ever ridden a hoverboard?" Marked asked me.
"One of those segway things? No I don't think I have," I reply.
Mark gets up and runs upstairs again. He comes downstairs carrying something. It was his hoverboard. He smiled down to me and put the board down. "Right, wanna go?" Mark asks.
"Ok, but I need help," I laugh and stand up.
"Just put your foot on that side," he said, as I placed my foot up. He helped my other leg up and put his hand on my hips. I started moving slowly and and we both laughed.
"You ok?" Mark asked and let go of my hip.
"Um.. Help!" I say and fall over onto the floor, landing on my bum. We both burst out laughing and didn't stop for the next 10 minutes. The comments were now flooding with '#METHANY' and the laughing crying emoji, I'm guessing '#Menthany' is our ship name.
I could tell that Mark had saw them and was smiling and staring at me again. We were having an amazing time
until my phone went off. It was my mum.
"Err.. hi Mum," I pick up the phone.
"Where have you been? I've been worried sick!" she shouted back. I could already tell she was.
"I've been at Mark's house, I text-" and then realised my message hadn't sent through.
"Oh the message didn't send properly," I reply awkwardly.
"I need you back soon, I've cooked one of your favourites," Mum said back, sounding less panicked.
"Okay, I'll walk back it's not too far away," and I end the call.
I turn back to Mark again.
"I gotta go," I said, frowning.
"I am gonna see you again on Monday, and I'll FaceTime you," he did back, with a cute smile.
"I guess," I said back and carry on packing up my things.
*10 MINUTES LATER*
I walk up to the front door after we ended the broadcast.
Mark stepped forward and hugged me. I hugged back. We seemed to be there for ages. He held onto my hand. I let go of the hug and smiled at him again. He smiled back. God I love his smile.
"See you soon, then," I laugh and let go of his hand, I stepped out and walked home.
