*THE NEXT DAY*

Monday. Ugh. Today's the day I'll probably lose any chance of making any friends and end up probably completely humiliating myself infront of thousands of kids. I did that regularly at my old school.

British schools are SO different to American schools. Like for example, in England we have to wear uniform. Yes. Dark blazers, itchy tights and strict rules about the length of our skirts, but in most American schools, (yes I know there are rules and stuff) but you've basically got freedom in what you want to wear.

And I feel like you've just got a lot more freedom here than in British schools.

Anyway, I eventually get pulled out of bed by Mum and woke up like a washed up starfish lying dead on the floor. I stumble up and walk over to the other side of my room. I open up one of my boxes that has most of my clothes in, and pick out a cute, yet comfy thing to wear.

I throw on some ripped jeans, converse and a floral jumper. I just pull my hair into a half up half down style and walk down for a quick bite to eat before I'm late.

*AFTER BREAKFAST AND STUFF, YOUR MUM JUST DROPPED YOU OFF AT SCHOOL*

"Bye sweetie, good luck!" Mum calls, then she whispers, "tell me if you see any cute boys when I pick you up!" she laughs.

I sarcastically scowl and laugh with her. I then wave goodbye to her and make my way into the huge building, my heart thumping like drum, my throat going dry and saw, my breathing gets quicker but then I stop and think. I pause outside a large door hoping this is the right classroom for first period. I've got English first. I walk into a loud room with kids cheering and laughing, I find myself a seat near the back and then the teacher walks in.

"Right, kids. Quieten' down please, shh." She says.

The class eventually hushes down and everyone finds a seat.

"I have some exciting news, we have a new girl joining us today, her name is.. um.."

"Bethany, or.. um, you can just call me Beth," I say quietly.

Everyone stops and stares at me. It was like I was an alien from a different planet or something, but then I realised my accent.

Everyone was whispering to each other. I felt so put on the spot, I could barely breath.

"And.. she's come all the way from England I'm guessing!" The teacher carries on and laughs.

"Err.. y-yeah," I stutter back.

"Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself?" The teacher suggests, and she sits back down.

I struggle out of my seat and stand up, I'm terrified and I can barely move. I wanted to run home, I was scared.

"W-well, I'm Beth, as you um.. already know.." then I stop. I have no idea why I stopped. I try and carry on. "I'm, err, 15 and I come from.. L-London in the UK," I finish and fake a sort of smile.

"Thank you Bethany, there's no need to be nervous, now kids can you open to page 123 and..."

*LESSON CARRIES ON*

To be honest, I love English. It's one of my favourite subjects and I love to write stories, articles or anything like that. I just find is so interesting. I love it.

The lesson was going well, I understood everything and was firing through the work we had to do.

"Um.. hi," A boy with blonde hair, amazing blue eyes (and a smile that could kill) ,turned round to face me.

"Err, hi," I awkwardly smiled back, confused why anyone even wanted to talk to me at this point.

"Do you have any idea what she's talking about? I don't exactly get this part," he asks and he points to a section in his text book.

"Yeah, you've just got to..." *Carries on explaining*

I finished explaining to him what we had to do, and he smiles again. Oh my god his smile.

"Oh I get it, thanks so much," he laughed, and turned back to the front.

I couldn't stop thinking about him for the rest of the lesson, his bright blue eyes, his smile, his hair, his laugh, his everything. I just didn't know his name.

WRITERS NOTE:

Hope you liked this part, I'm not exactly sure why I stopped here, but I'll carry it on tonight :)
