It’s now 6:00pm and I still haven’t found anything to wear to that dinner tonight, I was stuck between a pair of skinny’s with a purple silk strapless shirt or the casual little black dress... I had already done smoky eyes and my hair was straightened pencil straight flowing down my back.

“Hurry up Izabell!” I heard Ryan shout impatiently from downstairs, he of course had been ready ages ago.  Being a guy would be so much easier in these situations, only having to decide ‘to wear a tie or to not wear a tie,’

“I’m coming!” I yell back, I decided to just grab the black dress and some black Jimmy Choo’s, I would probably regret my shoe choice later but at the moment I don’t care.   Taking one last look in the mirror and slipping a butterfly knife into the leather strap around my thigh, I hurried downstairs to see Ryan lazing on the couch channel surfing.

“I’m ready.” I sang.

He looked over at me and frowned,

“You’re not wearing that.”

“Why not?” The dress was about three inches down my thigh. “Unless you want me to go decide on something else….” I challenged.

“No, no, no, that will do I suppose, could you at least wear a jacket?”

I sighed and put on my new leather jacket.

“Better?”

“No, but it will do.”

Gosh I loved teasing my brother.  I admit my dress was a little short and it was a strapless but hey, there might be some cuties wherever we were going so I might as well look good.

“We’re here.” Said Ryan, we were parked outside a restaurant, Raphael’s Bar.

Well here’s somewhere I’ve never been, I thought to myself.

Getting out of the car we both walked towards the host who just happened to be around my age and pretty cute, he had short blonde hair and crystal blue eyes, he greeted us and gave me a wide smile showing his perfectly straight white teeth, I returned his smile with a cheeky wink.  He led us towards our table near one of the biggest windows giving both me and Ryan menus

“Is there anything I can get you two?” He asked cheerfully,

“No thankyou, we’re waiting for some people.” Ryan replied shortly,

It was just then that I saw the host’s name tag- Chris.  He looked a bit disappointed to have to leave so I called him back with a smile,

“I’ll have a coke please.”

His eyes were filled with happiness again as we just nodded and walked off.

Me and Ryan sat there in silence both examining the menus until something made him look up, being the nosy person I am I looked up as well then froze in shock, there was a man in a grey suit at the door.  It wasn’t him I was looking at though, it was the boy next to him, black hair tussled with a white button up shirt and black skinny’s. Elliot. He smiled nervously, sending shivers down my spine- in a god way- when he saw me though I could see a mix of fear, sadness, anger and shock in his eyes.

These were Ryan’s clients?  What have they got to do with him though?  Note to self: ask Ryan what his job is…  They both walked over to us, Ryan greeted both of them with a handshake, I just sat there and said Hi from where I was.  Elliot sat across from me and the other man-John, sat across from Ryan.  Just as we were all settled Chris came over and gave me my coke,

“Coke for the beautiful lady.” He quietly said to me with a wink.

“Thank you.” I replied smiling cheekily.

Elliot looked at me curiously while Ryan just rolled his eyes.

“Can I get anyone else anything?” Chris asked politely,

“I’ll have a beer thanks.” Said Ryan,

“Yes, I’ll have the same thanks.” Said John.

“Ok, two beers, coming right up.” Chris said to everyone, winking at me again.

Ryan cleared his throat abruptly,

“How about you two go outside and hang out for a while.” He said gesturing to Elliot and I.

“Ok.” Replied Elliot,

I sat there for a while before getting up and heading outside not even checking he was following me, I could feel his presence behind me by the tingles shooting up and down my body.

Outside there was a garden with a little seat in the middle, sitting down I saw Elliot making his way over, the dim lights around the garden cast a little light around him making him look like an angel, he sat down next to me and bit his lip nervously making me want to smash my lips against his and never pull away.  Hmmm, I thought, I wonder what it would be like to touch his abs, or lick them….

“What’re you doing?” He suddenly asked with a smirk,

I snapped back from my thoughts and realised I was LITERALLY feeling his abs! Oh my god! I turned a very bright tomato red and pulled back my hand so fast I hit it on the seat handle behind me.

I let out a whimper and cradled my wrist, while Elliot sat there chuckling to himself.

“Shuddup.  It’s not funny!” I snapped at him.

“Here-“he said gently grabbing my hand, my breath caught at his touch and I had to resist the urge to shiver.  He examined my wrist for a while before saying,

“That’s going to bruise,” he said with eyes dancing with laughter and a smile tugging at the corner of his lips, “So should I feel worried that you touch unaware innocent boys?”

I nearly choked, “I was….uh, um…shuddup…”

Now he full on burst out laughing, I didn’t know what to do and I’m pretty sure if I stayed here for longer I would die of embarrassment so I got up and started walking away towards a gate that let out onto the road,

“Hey Bell, come back! I’ll forget that if you come back, I’m sorry!” he whined after me,

I just ignored him and walked out into the street near the road and stood there for about three minutes,  it was dark with only the dim street light casting an eerie glow around me, I felt like I was being watched so I turned around to go back,

“Izabell!” Elliot suddenly yelled, all amusement was out of his voice and replaced with fear and warning,

I turned around just in time to see a man standing in front of me pointing a very scary gun at me, I panicked and instinct kicked in, I pulled out my knife, flipped it open and held it to his stomach right next to where his kidney would be.

“Back the fuck off or I will stab you.” I said confidently, my voice filled with anger.

“You wouldn’t.” he said in a creepy deep voice.

Challenge accepted, I thought to myself.

I bought the knife back and swiftly slashed a long line along his stomach, a soon as I’d taken the blade away a dark red liquid started oozing out, soaking his old dirty white shirt.

“You bitch!” he yelled with so much venom in his voice a snake would be scared.

I couldn’t help it, a huge grin appeared on my face and something inside me snapped, it was him or me and I wasn’t giving up life.  I quickly wiped my blade on the bottom of my dress and started walking away.

I heard it before I felt it, I turned around and saw the man on his knees lowering his gun then I looked down to see a wet patch on my dress near my stomach.  He shot me.  As soon as I saw the wound I felt the pain.

“Elliot!” I yelled in a gut wrenching scream,

Before I know it, he is holding me in his arms as we sit there in the middle of the street,

“It’ll be ok.” He says to me calmly.  The last thing I remember is looking into those green swirled eyes full of worry and concern, worry and concern for me.
