Behind her eyes she's falling apart,
her smile hiding a broken heart,
one she smashed with her own mind,
her happy self left far behind,
focusing on all her flaws,
knowing they can't be ignored,
fractured thoughts escaping,
ugly forms her mind is making,
materialising out of the air,
forcing her to scrutinise, compare,
she's not thin like the other girls,
to be beautiful would make her world,
but she know that can't be,
there's no beauty for anyone to see,
her mind a dark infection,
she's terrified of failing, rejection,
feeling outcast,
her life's not going to last,
cut short like the artery in her wrist, her life ending with a gruesome twist.
