2 / First Year

Since we both enjoyed reading books and always got the best grades, people laughed at us.

"You two are so suitable for each other. Nerds." I remember this one boy, Taehyung, say.

However, the two of us never really cared about what others thought of us.

We minded our own business and stayed in the library daily, to do what we loved.

Reading.

Everyday, we would go to the library to read and study.

We both enjoyed being together.

Our interests and hobbies were similar.

We were both shy and quiet and loved being surrounded by an environment that was gentle.

As time floated by, our friendship gradually began improving.

We got to know each other more and we were able to open up to each other more.

I remember finding out that he didn't have any parents anymore.

They passed away when he turned 10.

It was very similar to what my parents had gone through.

I didn't have any parents anymore too.

They passed away when I was 5.

How?

My mother had also gotten in a car crash, and that costed her life.

But what about my father?

He couldn't handle losing her, so he went crazy and left.

I don't know where he is anymore.

I had been living with my grandma since then.

Her health wasn't in the best condition.

But I loved her very much and she loved me a lot.

However, he, did not have anyone who loved him.

He didn't have any close relatives.

I felt kind of bad for him when he first told me everything.

But he said not to worry because he was used to it.

Oh and did I mention that I never knew what his name was until second year of high school?

"By the way, I've never actually asked for you name." I remember him asking me.

"Oh. I'm Kim Na In. And I don't think I've ever asked for your name too." I replied to him.

"I'm Min Yoongi." He smiled.

He had a very warm smile, despite his cold appearance.

And that, was the day I fell in love with him.

The first day of my second year in high school.
