I stormed up into my room and slammed my door. I didn't care if Javier and I were supposed to share a room. He could sleep on the floor for all I cared.
A few minutes later, after grabbing my ipod touch and turning up the volume all the way to three days grace I heard a knock. Unfortunatly, full volume didn't mean I didn't hear a little bit of noise.
I sighed and got up. "Who is it?" I asked.
"Javier" He said. "Please let me in"
"How about you go away" I said.
"I'll get Seth" He warned. Ugh! I opened the door and he walked in.
I returned to my bed, listening to my music. I watched as Javier looked around at my stuff.
"Don't touch it" I said.
"I'm not" He said. "Paris you know that I need somewhere to sleep"
"You can sleep on the floor"
"You know it'd actually be nice if you had a conversation with me where you had your attention on me"
"Yeah that's going to happen" I rolled my eyes.
Javier came over and pulled the headphones out of my ears.
"Hey! What the fuck is your problem?" I growled.
"I need you to talk to me" He said. "Weather you hate me or not, we need to discuss how we are sharing this room"
"Well it's my room and you can have the floor"
"I'm not sleeping on the floor"
"Well your sure not sleeping on my bed"
A little bit later Javier went downstairs and came back up with a sleeping cot and a blanket and pillow. He set it up on the floor and also had a bag of stuff. He started to put his clothes into some of the drawers that were empty.
"Hey what do you think your doing!" I said.
"I'm getting set up that's what I'm doing"
"How long do you honostly think you'll be here"
"For a while I suppose. By the way just so you know, school's tommarow and I have an alarm clock"
"Good god. You're already getting on my nerves" I said walking out of my room and heading downstairs.
Seth stopped me on my way.
"Hey" He said. "Be nice to Javier. He's not a threat nor is his dad"
"You think that but it's not true. Drew is still a murderer"
"Don't say such ridiculous things" Seth said.
"Okay who are you? I mean, seriously? I don't even know my own brother anymore"
That next morning the alarm clock went off and mother of all fuckers, it was as loud as shit.
I got up and grabbed his alarm clock, then threw it at the wall which slammed against it, then broke.
Javier got up. "You owe me a new alarm clock" He said.
I turned and walked into the bathroom after grabbing a pair of blue skinny jeans and a black low cut tank top with my heeled ankle boots. I changed and headed downstairs for breakfast. Javier wasn't going to change my normal routine and I was determined to act as if he didn't even matter.
I had some cereal and was off to school without a word to anyone. I got into my car and started it up. Javier walked outside, fully dressed with his backpack.
"Hey" He said. "You know you have to drive me"
"Then get in" I said. I turned the radio on even though it was a really short drive and we arrived in ten minutes.
For some reason it had felt since forever that I had been to school. Javier and I went our seperate ways and I met up with my friend Christine.
"Hey" She said. "You just disapeared from the dance last night, where did you go?"
"I went home. Got sick but I'm better now" I lied. Because if I told Christine that my dad was a vampire and that I stayed in a hotel with Javier and got arrested and now I'm living with him and his dad and that my dad kidnapped my mom that would be a lot of unwanted information.
"Oh" Christine said. "That's great. Well hey, how did things go with Javier?"
"Not good" I said. "I'm not really thinking that were compatible"
"That's too bad" Christine said. "Cause I can totally see you two together. I mean, you could even be this semesters it couple"
"Shame" I muttered and headed off to chemistry as the bell had rung.
