Chapter 9

*:･ﾟ✧Sowon's POV;

Time check; Saturday, 10.15 A.M.

"Ah jjinja! What is taking you so long?"

"Ya! I know you're excited to see me but please hold on, I'm on my way. Promise."

"Seriously! I don't miss you. Pali-pali!"

Just like that I ended my phone call with Mr Jisoo. I was waiting for him along the hallway, warming my hands in the pocket of my hoodie.

"Oh! Kim Sojung. What are you doing here?"

Mingyu suddenly popped out from the corner. I couldn't manage to reply to him and he already continued his next sentence.

"Are you free? It has been awhile since we ha-"

"Nope. She made plans with her boyfriend."

Joshua suddenly jumped in and put his arms around me. Mingyu looked at me and raised his eyebrow.

"What he meant was!"

"What I meant was, me and Sowon are going to spend a day together. Right? My yeoja chingu? (Girlfriend in Korean)"

"He's just goofing around! Well we're late! So we better keep going. Annyeong Kim Mingyu!"

I dragged Joshua by his sleeves and Mingyu disappeared from our sight.

Teasing Sowon can be fun. She gives priceless reactions. However, I was slightly jealous because Mingyu keeps being all clingy around her. I get that they are best friends and he's like my brother but who knows what will happen next if I don't make my move?

"Ya! I'm your oppa! Why are you dragging me like this?"

"Oppa? Pft. You're like only a few days older than me!"

"Stop screaming! Aish so annoying."

We got into the music room and got ourselves settled. We opened to a track and our body naturally moves along with the song. I couldn't pay attention to my moves because I couldn't keep my eyes off Sowon. How can one be so perfect and not forgetting her sparkly eyes. We practiced for two hours and she already got the choreography she'll be doing for the assignment on Monday.

"Ah jjinja? How can someone be so fast with dance moves?"

"This is Kim Sojung."

She kept on teasing me and the both of us ended up lying down on the floor.

"Anyways, gomawo for helping me today."

"Of course. It's Jisoo. This is not a big deal."

"If this isn't a big deal i don't know what it."

"Well, maybe asking you to a date would be a huge deal."

The both of us went in a complete silence when that statement was made. Why are you so stupid Joshua? That completely didn't go as planned. Aish, so cheesy. I didn't want the situation to turn awkward so I continued talking.

"Well.... Take it as a normal hang out day. Since tomorrow the students get to get out of the academy, lets go to a carnival?"

"Jjinja? Neh! Lets go. I've never been to one before! And.. I'd take it as a date."

Suddenly our hands intertwined and our afternoon was spent with cheesy jokes, dancing and also arguments. Of course. I'm so glad I could make Sowon smile so widely today.

"Mingyu! Hold up."

Joy suddenly yelled out to me. Ever since the set up dinner we had that day, Joy kept clinging on me. Sowon and Irene told me she's into me and I'm completely aware.

"Neh Joy? What is it?"

"Since tomorrow is our free day, lets catch up."

"Mian... Joy. I'm staying here tomorrow to practice my scripts."

"Oh come on! We can get to know each other too."

"Look... Joy. I'm aware that you like me but I just can't be with you. Mianhae."

I left Joy with silence and continued walking back to the room.

Time check; Sunday, 4 P.M.

I finished with my practice in the morning so it was time for my date with Joshua. I can't believe I'm going out with Mr annoying. After a 40 mins journey, we finally arrived at the carnival. I was super excited and I might've acted a little bit kid-like. Our first ride was the roller coaster. I looked nervous and I think Joshua might have noticed so he quickly intertwined his fingers with me.

"Gwenchanha. You'll be fine."

I was surprised of his gentleman side he showed me today. After tons of ride and games, it was finally time to head home. I was really tired and I couldn't help but almost fell asleep in the bus. I was glad that I felt comfortable around Joshua. My head was resting on his shoulder and his arms was around me. I definitely felt safe in his warmth. It was a great moment and the bus rides felt short so we reached the academy quite early.

"Gomawo.. Sowon for today."

"I should thank you instead. Today wouldn't have happened without you and I'm very thankful for that."

He suddenly came closer and slammed his hand on the wall just like some korean drama. Our face was so closed to each other and my heart was racing so fast. I was leaning against the wall and I felt like I was in another world. He looked into my eyes for awhile before our lips met. I can't believe I was kissing Hong Jisoo. It lasted for quite awhile until I pulled back. He took steps back and wished me goodnight. He entered the academy first and I was still dumb founded. What just happened? I couldn't help but keep smiling all the way to the dorm room. Ugh, this guy.
Before I ended my day, of course I'd receive a text from Joshua.

"Good night beautiful. Can't wait to see you back in class tomorrow. Good luck for the assignment. Hwaiting my beautiful girl friend."

"Looks like we're official then?"

"You decide. (;"

"Ah jjinja. You're still annoying! Good night and hwaiting too! xx "
