July 2nd, 2011 - Bridgetown, Barbados
Christopher Brown.
"Nah for real?" I questioned Nicole via FaceTime.
The whole family were at her residences today for some odd reasoning. I really didn't know why, but they were. So, Austin FaceTimed me and I'm talking to everyone one at a time apparently.
"Yes, Austin was very pleased to find out we're having another child." Nicole giggled.
I could hear all sorts of commotion going on behind the cellular device she held. We'd been conversing on how she was lately. New things occurring, the norm. My girlfriend would be FaceTiming with me but she's currently in the shower readying herself to go to the library. Damn, she's actually my girlfriend.
"What gotchu' over there cheesing all of the sudden?" Nicole raised her perfectly manicured brow.
"Nothin', what're you talkin' 'bout?"
"Mhm.. Where's Phabiola?" She inquired. "Bri said she spoke to her a few days ago, but we have yet to talk to her."
"She's in the shower right now. We're actually about to step out." I informed Nicole.
"Oh, okay.. Well I'll let you talk to Keeis or something because I'm tired. You sleep allot when you're pregnant." She chortled a bit.
"I wouldn't no of course, but alright then I'll talk to you later. I love you sis."
"I love you too Chris, don't forget to come visit sometime. Or maybe we'll all take a trip to Barbados. The island life seems luxurious."
"It has its moments."
Nicki beckoned for boys to come to her. Handing the device to Keeis. All three of their knuckleheads Popped into the screen.
"Hey man!" Keeis greeted.
"Yo, wassup my nigga?" Mijo intercepted.
"'Sup Chris?" Austin said.
"Ahh nothing, nothing. Just chillin', y'know."
"Where's lil' mama?" Keeis questioned.
"Oh Phabi? She's showering. We about to head out soon."
They nodded, and we began to speak about normal shit that niggas talk about.
It was brought to my attention that Keeis and his girlfriend aren't together any longer. Mijo is still about the same bullshit he was about when I met him twenty years ago. And Austin is learning the struggles of being a father to a preteenaged daughter. It's all quite hilarious to me.
"Yo, so she told you she had a boyfriend? Where's my niece at?" I chuckled a bit.
"In her room, with her little friend Taylor. Or as she likes to be called "Tay Tay." Austin spat with attitude written in his voice.
We all cackled some at his antics. That nigga ain't change a bit.
"Is this suitable for our outing?" A sweet island twangy voice rang in my ear.
I looked past my phone to see Phabiola standing in the corridor. Her hair was a heap of a messy sandy brown mane on the top of her head. She wore a simple white tee, and skinny fitted jeans. Sandals that showcased her peachy colored pedicured toenails. Achieved with admirable ease, she was just that aesthetic.
"Was that lil' bit's voice I just heard?" Austin debriefed.
Phabiola's face lit up at the sound of the particular voice. She loved Austin. She loved them all. They were also her family. Dashing over to my area, she plopped in my lap, purloining the phone from me.
