"Well I'm glad that you find it interesting, could you talk with me later after class." The teacher , I don't know his name yet, "Okay?"

"Yes, sir." I said solemnly.

"Now, going on, this is the picture of it and it is very dangerous." He went on and on and I got much information and for some reason the class felt shorter then any other class, because he let us go early. The kids wanted to know why he let us wander around when there was still class going on in other places. I knew why, it was so he had more time with me.

"Miss," He said before I rushed out the door. "Miss...?"

"Padalecki, Olivia. And you are?"

"Kripke, Sean, but the students are supposed to call me Mr. Kripke." He took a seat on top of his desk. He was a fairly well built man, blond hair and a blondish beard. "I want to know why are you so interested in this subject? Most kids aren't."

"I find it good to be aware of what goes bump in the dark." Isn't that a phrase Dean used? "Why do you need to know?"

"Because I need help, I'm behind on classes, maybe you could help me."

"I'm sorry I have a few things I need to do already." I started walking away and Mr. Kripke grabbed my arm holding some pictures and papers in the hand that was not occupied by my arm.

"You forgot these and it looks like records... Police records." He flipped threw them. "Deaths? What's your real name."

"Olivia, Padalecki. I already told you that."

"No, I'm not Mr. Kripke, I'm Mark, Campbell." He confessed. What was he doing? He could be apart of the police undercover. Shit. "I'm a hunter and I'm suspecting you are too."

"Oh, Yeah, ducks and deer. Those are fun."

"No, I mean a demon or monster hunter."

"Oh, like one of those T.V. shows." I rolled on the lie.

"No, things that go bump in the night." Okay, might as well, drop the charades.

"Yeah, I am... A hunter. And some other stuff." My voice got softer with every word.

"What? Oh never mind. Real name now."

"Rodreguiz, Erika. I'm also friends with the wonderful Winchester brothers." Every hunter knew who they were at this time.

"Winchesters? John, Sam, Dean, and Mary?" I knew the first three, but Mary? Was she like a sister or something?

"Mary, No. The others I met."

"Where are they?"

"Gone, probably in Sioux Falls."

"Why are they there and not here."

"They kinda got mad."

"Why? What could make them that angry that they would leave you?" There were some footsteps in the hall so we started whispering to each other. I told him about how I left Sam and Dean instead of the other way around. And exactly why.

"Well, that's interesting that there is a half human. What else can you do-" a knock on the door interrupted us. It was five minutes until the next class.

"Um, Mr. Kripke, do we have any homework tonight?" A fragile girl stood in the doorway, looking shocked more than anything.

"No, Sydney, no assignments today or tomorrow." He assured her. "Please tell the others for me."

"Yes, sir." She hurried out of the classroom.

"Well, I wish we could finish this conversation, but I don't want you late for class." He said a bit more loudly probably because there were students behind the door. He lent in close to hug me and said "I'll try to get you out of some classes to get that damned thing and what exactly do you think it is?"

"I think it might be a changeling or a chupacabra. So finish studying that weird folk lore and I'll hunt it down."

But before we knew it. It was already Thursday the day before we have our big chance of finding this thing, the prom. I still had to go get a stupid dress and everything. But people were still asking me if I wanted to go to the dance with them. I wanted to scream at them 'Fuck NO now GO AWAY!'.

I have to go pick out a dress for tomorrow. THAT will be fun. Or I could just barrow a dress from my friend's sister. And that's what I'll do.

I headed over to her place to see if she still had hers. I rang the doorbell hoping that none of the people who I went to school saw me. It's a bit weird if someone goes to two of the teachers houses continuously. She looked through the peep hole in the door and opened it.

"Hello, Erika, or no it's Olivia," she gave me the strangest wink ever it was like she had something stuck in her eye. "Okay, um, what do you need?"

"A dress, a prom dress to be exact." I gave her a wink back. "I don't have one."

"Yeah, sure, come on in." She had a pretty house. Light colored walls and in a different room I could see there was dark colors then bright colors in another. "I think I have one but that's all."

"That'll be good." Grace, that's her name, raced upstairs and I wandered around the house going into different rooms and ended up in the family room.

"Make yourself at home!" Grace yelled to me. There was a couch so I plopped down from exhaustion. I don't know why, but I just felt so tired. Tired of everything, my life, my job, and most of all my destiny.

Wow, this is exactly what I wanted my life to be. I wanted it to be with a house, a family, my family. No, I was on a job no distractions. I can't think about Winchesters. Let alone Josh and Kristen my real family, but Josh is dead.

"Hey! Here it is." She rounded the corner that separated the living room from the kitchen. I stood up waiting for the dress. She was holding a silver and black strapless dress. It had a ruffled silver, short in front and long in back, skirt and diamonds strung across the chest. It was beautiful.

"Wow! Oh my God! Just wow!" I took the dress from her and held it back for me to look at it, then turned it around and put it up to my body. "How does it look?" I asked and struck a pose like a runway model.

"Fablous, girl!" She answered me in a funny voice. "You can keep it too."

"Really?" I didn't think she would want to give up such a gorgeous dress.

"Yeah, I mean I have no use for it anymore. And you may want it to impress a certain boy or two." She lauged while I mearly chuckled.

"Thank you."

"Well, you are killing the thing that's roaming our halls."

"Yeah and I hope I don't lose a toe or two doing it." I laughed for real this time. I looked at the time. "I better go."

"Okay, be careful and see you later." She said opening the door, I hadn't even noticed we were at the door again.

"See you later. Mrs. Pellagrino." I said using her last name like a normal student would.

The school day flew by. And the next thing I know I'm getting ready for the dance. Ugh, I know I'm going to have to do some dirty work so why not wear my normal hunting clothes? Because I would look stupid and who knows I might have to stay here longer than I expected.

I was going to meet up with Mark and he was going to pick me up, bring me to the school, and kill the beast. We narrowed it down to a chupacabra. You can kill it with anything, but the catch is, they are hard to kill. It takes a couple of bullets to kill it and its huge, I pretty much noted in my head. 'Bring a shotgun and stay away from it.'

"ERIKA! You ready?" Mark let himself into the house. I grabbed my knifes and fire keeper, man I need a cool name for that, and met Mark in the walkway.

"Yeah, but first step out of the devils trap." I challenged. He did. "Touch please." I held out a silver knife. He did.

"Okay, now are you ready?" He asked anxious to get going.

"Yeah, I just wanted to do some tests. And you passed them." He and I went out to his car, it was a nice car and by nice I mean cool, awesome, and in great shape car. It was a black Ferrari, with red leather interior. "Wow, cool! I love this car!"

"I do too." He got into the driver's seat and revved the engine. I got in, rolling my eyes at him. "So have you ever gone to prom?"

"No. I ditched."

"Why? I mean aren't proms the best part of a girls' life?"

"No, everyone thought I was weird, a freak, so I went out hunting instead."

"Then I'll get the monster and you have fun."

"No! I went here to hunt, not go to a prom I never had."

"I will drag you in there and make someone take you out on the dance floor."

"Fine, I'll go." I mumbled.

"What?" He asked mockingly.

"I'LL GO!" I enunciated each word.

"Okay then get out and I'll go around back... See you later."

"Don't die."

"You have fun!" He shouted through the window.

"Sure will." I walked over to the place where we were supposed to get our tickets. "One, please."

I payed them and right as I got into the building, the jocks jumped me. "Hey, idiots." I was wearing slightly tall high heels and I was already 5'11" so I was around 6'3". So I was head level with Brain Collins.

"Hey, you look hot." He grabbed my back and pulled me in close to him. "How 'bout you become my date?"

"No I'm fine for now." I backed away from him and walked toward the huge gym.

The girls in the gym had vomit green and earwax yellow dresses on. I was the only one with a truly elegant dress on. They all stared at me and looked to their own dress. Aaron, a boy I met in bio, was sitting at the other side of the gym. He had naturally white hair and a normal tux on. I waded through the crowd to get to him.

"Hey!" I said loudly over the music that started blaring.

"Hey, Olivia!" He stood up and gave me a hug.

"So do you have a date?" I asked still yelling over the music. Holy crap, it's my favorite song! Radioactive, by Imagine Dragons.

"No, I was going to ask you! But I didn't see you at biology!" He yelled back.

"Well, consider me your date!" I said laughing.

"So you wanna dance? This is one of my favorite songs." He grabbed my hand and pulled me out to the dance floor.

"Sure, since we are already out here!" I laughed.

The slow songs were coming up fast and the disc jockey had the fast beat people go outside and only a few people went out. Including Brain and his date; Jacy.

"Do you want to go dance outside or stay here?" I asked.

"We'll stay." He replied. I put my arms around his neck. He was around 6'5" as tall as Sam. He carefully put his arms around my waist. The songs playing lured some people from outside to come and dance.

"So, what are you doing here?" Aaron asked.

"Well, this is a school thing." I replied trying to get a quick lie thought up in my head.

"No, I mean in this dinky little town."

"Uh... I have family here."

"Oh, who?"

"Grace Pellagrino. The art teacher. She's my... Aunt."

"Cool, is your whole family here?" Oh, shit more questions.

"No."

"Where are they?"

"Dead." Now that wasn't a total lie.

"I'm so sorry."

"It's fine." I looked down.

"Hey," he grabbed my chin, softly. "Hey, I'm sorry." He leaned down and kissed me.

I broke the kiss. "I'm sorry I can't I... I just can't." Nothing felt right about the kiss. So I ran out of the gym, upstairs, and to the girls' room. Where Mark was.

"Hey," he greeted me. "I killed it." I noticed a large mound of fur lying on the floor.

"Wow, nice." I looked from it to him. "Hey, can I have some advice?"

"Sure. What's up?" I paused and thought how I would put this.

"What do you do if you don't belong somewhere, but if you go back to the place you do belong in, you'll end up dead... It's for a friend of mine."

"Well, tell your friend that you should go back to the place and live for as long as they can. I know what your deal is, what side are you on?"

"Humanity." I said after thinking over what he could mean.

"Then be with humanity, stay with the Winchesters. Go back to them. Go to where you belong, your home. Your family. Your side."

"Thanks Mark, I'll pass it on to my friend." I winked. This is the last time I see him. I'm going back. I'm coming home.
