Dom

We were taken outside and an alarm was going off somewhere as families came out and walked to the are where the park is. Four soldiers stood in the middle of the grassy area and I heard guns going off in the distance. Two soldiers bent down and lifted a patch of grass that was actually a door. Macy and the guys thought of everything.

The soldiers helped everyone lower down under ground. First Donna went in, then The Doctor, then me. It was cold, dark, and damp, but at least there was room. We had to move carefully because there were still pipes in here from when the city was built.

More people poured in then a soldier jumped down. The door was closed and it was silent. It was a little difficult to see but we still heard what was going on outside. Guns and shouting. Sophie came down here with us and was sitting in The Doctor's lap. She wouldn't stop crying for Matt and Macy and I couldn't blame her. I was worried sick. All my friends were out there risking their lives. It made me sick to think of them dying such a horrible and violent death. I hope they're handling things well out there.

Things could be going better. We were all lined up at our posts along the wall shooting at everything that moved. It felt like I was at war. Matt was to my left, Chris and Tom to my right. We lost a few soldiers already but not enough for it to make an impact on the fight.

One outside almost made it up the wall but Matt shot it down. It seemed like everything was thinning out and soon enough, we didn't see anymore coming. I looked around and saw the others weren't shooting anymore, we won again.

"Collect the bodies and burn AH!" I felt an arm wrap around my neck and teeth sink into my left shoulder. It's an outsider.
"NO MACY!" Matt pried the arm off my neck and pushed the outside off, but the damn thing grabbed onto Matt and took him over. I heard him scream as he fell and I saw the outsider attack. Chris shot the thing dead and Matt seemed to be barely breathing.

I jumped off my post and ran to the gate and shouted for someone to open it. I didn't even wait for it to open all the way, I crawled under it and sprinted to Matt. He was gasping for air and I saw the damage that stupid thing caused. Matt's mouth was bloody, his throat was slit open, and there were multiple wounds in his chest.

"Take....take care...Sophie..."
"No Matt, please hold on. There's a doctor here! He can help you! If you live, we can get married! How does that sound?"
"I..I.." Matt's eyes closed and he stopped breathing. Chris pulled me away from him before I can do anything and took me back inside.

"We need to collect the bodies," Chris said with a broken voice
"He was your best friend.." I whispered
"Yeah, but right now we have a job to do."

About an hour later we had the bodies of our people and the outsiders separated. The bodies of the soldiers were taken in for burial and we burned the others. Being commander, it was my duty to read the names of those we lost during the burial.

"Nicholas Rogers, deceased with honor," his body was lowered to the ground. I saw his daughter standing near his grave weeping as they lowered him.
"Henry Wells, deceased with honor," he was lowered
"Miranda Wells, deceased with honor," they were married. Practically inseparable it makes sense they would die together. I looked down at the last name on the list and felt my eyes water.
"Matthew Bellamy, deceased with honor."

I saw everyone he loved surrounding his grave. Dom, Tom, Kelly and the kids, Chris, Sophie, even The Doctor and Donna were there. I made my way over to the grave and held Sophie. She's too young to know what death really is, but she knows her father won't be able to kiss her goodnight anymore.

The burial was over and everyone went back to their homes. Dom, Kelly, Chris, Tom, the kids, The Doctor and Donna, went back to high command and I stayed back. I looked down at the fresh grave.

"I'm so sorry Matt, it should have been me. It went for me first, I should have just let it take me down." I wiped my eyes and walked to high command. Everything was unusually quiet, I guess everyone is paying their respects to the four that we lost. When I went into the music room, everyone was making conversation. Sophie and the kids were playing, at least her mind isn't on Matt.

"Hey," Dom said softly
"Hi," I rubbed my shoulder and found our crappy first aid kit. All it really has is band aids and cotton balls. I poured some water on the cotton and cleaned the bite I have. The Doctor saw me making an attempt at cleaning my wound and came to help.

"I've got you," he took out his sonic screwdriver and scanned it. "Not too bad, went deep but I can fix it."
"It should have been me. It went for me first, he didn't have to help me."
"What's the point of beating yourself over it," The Doctor said and pulled an entire first aid kit out of his pocket. How did he fit that in there?

"Pockets are bigger on the inside," he said as if reading my mind
"Seems like it," I shrugged and let him tend to my shoulder, "I wish I can turn back time, change today so Matt survives."
"It's not that simple, time is-wait a minute. Yeah we can."
"Yeah like you have a time machine," I scoffed
"I do! My ship is out there. It's a time machine and space ship. Travel through time and space!" He finished wrapping my shoulder when he said the last sentence

"I can reverse time so none of this happens! I can erase the outsiders from time! Oh I knew there was a reason why I didn't know who they were! BECAUSE THEY NEVER EXISTED!" The Doctor jumped around and explained it like a child on a sugar high
"I thought that was impossible," Donna said
"I've done it once before. With The Master and Martha! I reversed time and wiped it from everyone's memory!"
"I don't remember that."
"Like I said, wiped from memory. Only ones who remember were those in the eye of the storm. I can do the same thing now.."

"Exactly how are you going to do it?" Chris asked
"Well. I had Martha tell a story and it took an entire year, I don't think anyone will be willing to wait another year for this to end. But first I'll be needing my ship."
"It's outside the wall?" Tom asked him
"Yep."
"Let's go get it then."
"Right then, allons-y!"
