Chapter 7

Vallory POV

Thirty minutes of silence and bliss later, the rowdy boys came towards me. "Bonfire time!" Harry shouted. "We're gonna get WASTED!" Louis shouted, throwing an arm around Harry and Liam. Zayn rolled his eyes and took a seat next to me on my left. Liam sat to my right and Niall sat next to Liam. Harry and Louis were trying to get the fire started while the four of us talked. "Are you drinking tonight, Vallory?" Zayn asked. "No, thanks. I want to wake up tomorrow with a clue and without a headache." I said casually. "Lame-o!" Zayn said throwing an arm around me. "7 years! How have you been? A lot must've happened. Spill!" Zayn said to me. "Not much really. Just, Taylor stuff." I said, not telling him the truth. He nodded. "I'm sorry. I really miss her, and I'm sure you do too." He said. "I really do. I wish I could take her place, but, I can't." I spilled. He shot his glance to me and softened his face. "I can't believe you just said that. I don't wish you took her place. Hell, I want Taylor here! I know you miss her a lot, but things happen for a reason. Just, believe me okay?" He said, wrapping his arms around me in a hug. I nodded in his shoulder. "I love you, Vallory. Don't forget it." He whispered in my ear. "I love you too Zaynie." I whispered back. He let go and made his way over to a drunk Louis. "Hey, beautiful." Harry said, taking Zayn's place. "You're drunk, Haz." I said giggling. "Nah. Not that drunk. Just buzzed." He said, sliding his hand up my thigh. "Okay, Harry, stop." I said, pushing his hand away. "HARREH! COME MY LOVE!" Louis shouted. "Coming Boo!" He shouted, sending me a wink. Liam, Louis, Harry, and Zayn, ran back to the water, leaving Niall and I alone again. "Hey." He said, scooting closer to me. "Hey." I retorted. "Why aren't you going with them?" I asked, looking towards the boys. "Because they're drunk. Liam is the only sober one." He said, boring his eyes into the side of my face. I looked up at the stars and smiled. "Sometimes, I wonder what my sister is doing. If she is looking after me, or if she's okay." I said, while looking up. "I'm sure she's looking after you. Making sure your alright. And, I'm sure she's okay. Heaven earned an angel." He said, looking at the stars. We sat in a comforably silence for at least twenty minutes. "You tired?" Niall asked. I looked over at him. "Yeah, kinda." I replied. He nodded, and got up. "Where are the boys?" He asked looking around. I looked too, they were no where to be seen. Niall took out his phone and scrolled through his messages. "They left. And they took the car. Lets get a taxi and go home, yeah?" He asked, pulling me to my feet. I nodded and followed him towards the road. He hailed a taxi and we got in. I rested my head on Niall's shoulder and fell asleep. I felt myself being picked up and carried. I didn't protest, and caved into Niall's chest. He opened the door and carried me up the steps to my room. Carefully, he laid me on the bed and tucked me in, removing my shoes. He bent down to kiss my forehead, and turned to leave. I shot up and grabbed his arm. "Stay with me tonight?" I asked pulling him towards me. He nodded and climbed in with me. I rested my head against his chest and fell asleep to him humming and running his fingers through my hair.
