To have faith, you must have hope
Hope that over time, you will be given the rope
It will pull you up through life
And it will be the replacement of the knife
Faith will be the reassurance over time
And you will be easily convinced that everything will be fine
The truth is, faith isn't always easy to keep
Too many times we find ourselves in far too deep
Sometimes I wonder if its because our faith is just false hope
We may have faith in the wrong thing and I wonder how we cope
Or perhaps its because we've lost our faith and our souls have gone the wrong way
But it could just be a test of faith that day
No matter what it is, we have to keep our faith through it all
And we shouldn't be afraid to yell out and call
Even if you don't get an answer, don't give up on your search
Fly into the sky like a bird but don't forget to take time to perch
Your incredible journey for the truth has just begun
If you find the right faith, no your journey isn't done
For faith is only the beginning of the road
And this road will continue on forever as you unpack your heavy load
