I want to know you
Through the wind and the trees
But you are tough
Only the Oak holds your thoughts
I do hear you
Stroke the hard legs of its trunk
I always see you
Scratch that deep line with your finger
But when I study it
It is just another wound in the bark
I see you wait for me
With a wound as deep as a mouth
You are silent
Though the wind howls in your face
You are hiding
As you hold so dear to the leaves
But so I see you
For your hair was never the colour green
Yes I hear you
Your feet crunch down into the twigs
Yes I know you
Your fingers reach for any loose branch
And you chisel your name into the dirt
You are as invisible
As an Oak Tree's green hair
Though don't you see it
Waving all through the air
