O Righteous One

Nobody can see the way that he sees
We avert our eyes and look down to our fees
So many of us are fixated on what we owe
So much so that we fall short and end up low

Child, precious child, won't you ever see?
No sinless human being will you ever be
But O Son, you miss what is so clear
My Son paid the price so that you shall never bear

It is gone, it is finished, there is nothing more for you to do
So live in victory, know that I am your fighter too
Do you know, do you really know how precious you are to me?
Every thought that ever crushed you, every sickness that ever destroyed you, it is now in He

He, My Son, died to see you live
And, in His righteousness, standing before me, he said, "This, all of it, I will give"
Don't you know that those words have made you perfect through the one who won it all?
Didn't I watch him suffer and see My Beloved Son fall?

On that blessed cross, all the sins bowed down to me
So my own children, completely free they will be!
This grace that you receive is not to be earned
For every law and sin was completely burned

Now I say come to me children, come O My Sons
Don't you know that all the work has been completely done?
My Son's blood has covered you all
Now, in His Righteousness, come, and freely call.
