CHAPTER 5: "Beautiful Liar"

"What the hell are you doing here?" Byul sound mad. Her oppa is giving her strength to talk by wrapping her arms tight on his chest.

"I'm so sorry, Byul. I really am." Leo look up to see Byul.

"Man are just so simple huh?" Leo confuse with those simple words from Byul.

"You tore my hearts, and then seek forgiveness from me?!! So, what's the point for having policeman and judges if bad person like you just can say sorry and your sins are been forgiven?!!!" Byul start to raise her voice, bit by bit. Tears already welling on both of her eyes.

"No. That's not what I mean. Byul, I just.." Leo abruptly stand up, trying to wipe tears that start rolling on Byul's cheeks.

"What the heck are you doing?" Out of nowhere, Hakyeon push Leo's hand.

"Don't you ever touch her with that filthy hand of yours!" Hakyeon said and try to punch Leo.

"ENOUGH!!" Byul stopping him.

"Stop it Hakyeon! You'll hurt him!!" She shield Leo with a hug. Hakyeon surprised by her action. He can't understand her.

"But, Byul..he hurt you." Hakyeon held her hand, try to pull her from Leo.

"I need to know. From him. Leo, follow me." Byul break off the hug, asking him to follow her. Still, Hakyeon is holding her wrist. Byul look at him, try to communicate with her eyes. 'I'm okay.' She smile, letting go Hakyeon's hand.

Hakyeon still trying to stop them, but, Park Geom hold him back. He look at Park Geom with confused face.

"What?? Hyung! Don't you see that jerk are going with your dongsaeng? She need us to protect her!" He push Park Geom away.

"Just, let them be. Byul herself want to hear explanation from him. Can't you see who she really need right now?" Park Geom ask him.

"But, hyung!" Hakyeon protest.

"I think, hyung is right. Let them have a talk, okay?" Ravi voice out his thought.

"You guys don't love her, don't ya??!!! You all are jerk!" With that, Hakyeon enter Byul's house, leaving Park Geom and the boys.

"I'm apologize for his behalf, hyung. He is just being protective." Ravi seeking forgiveness from Park Geom.

"He is way too OVERPROTECTIVE. People might think that he is her oppa and not me." Park Geom let out a joke to lift up the mood.

"I know, right? He might seeing Hyeri on Byul. You know how important Hyeri is for him." Hongbin's statement made all of them speechless. 

All of them let out a big sigh and enter the house afterwards.

*meanwhile *

Byul is now sit on the bench at the park. Beside her is Leo. Sit still. No one is talking. 

"I'm sorry..I'm wrong..I did something bad..I should be punished.." Leo break the silent after minutes. He didn't dare to have any eye contacts with Byul. His eyes are on his own foots, waiting anxiously for Byul to speak.

"Are... you?" Byul stuttering. Leo is nodding, while still on his position just now.

"You are not going to explain? You are just accepting and agree that you did make something wrong?"
Byul exclaimed. She now angry. She is getting mad.

'Just once. Only once. Said that everything is just a misunderstanding. I'll believe.' She beg in her heart. Praying for something good to happen.

"I...I'm sorry." Leo can't say anything except for sorry. He did wrong.

Byul stand up, and walk in front of Leo. She put her hands on Leo's shoulder.

"Jung Taekwoon." She said. It is Leo's full name. I mean , it is his real name. Leo is just a nickname that made by Byul when they first met before. Leo is someone who rarely smile but he can get anyone attention once he is. She thought that a lion would suit his image. Thus, she give him those nickname, and, it start to be use by everyone.

Leo look up to see Byul's face.

"Did you ever love me?" Byul ask. Leo startled. He doesn't know how to answer.

"Please. Answer me. I want to know. If our relationship are purely fake? Don't you ever have any feelings on me? Even a little?" Byul start to cry. Again. She shook Leo's shoulder hard.

Byul can't feel her knees anymore. She flop down, and still crying her lungs out.

"Byul. Please. Don't cry." Leo get her, trying to hug her. He want to comfort her. Yes. He did love her. He is in love with her. But before, he just too blinded with love that he have for Seolhyun. He feel challenged when Seolhyun reject him and ask he to find someone else. That's when he start to get revenge. He want to show Seolhyun that no one could resist him. He is the man that every girl would adore. He doesn't know that he would love Byul since he never feel like that before. But, after few days they are having relationship, he start to grow feeling for her. He feel something that he doesn't and never feel when he with Seolhyun.

Even on the rooftop, where Hakyeon saw him kissing Seolhyun was a way for him to make sure his own feelings. At that time, he really sure that he love Byul. But, it's too late. Hakyeon saw everything. He heard everything. How could he deny that? How could he explain that? No one would believe him. Neither he himself can't believe it if he is Byul.

"Just..answer me Woon-ah. Did you ever love me?" Byul asking again for the answer. She push the hug that Leo try to give. She wants it badly, but, she know she would be weaken by those hug. Leo's broad shoulders. She really want to cry on it. To feel the warmness of him.

"I.. I'm sorry. I only think you as a friend. I.. I never in love with you." he lie.

He think, that is the best answer he could give. As, this would be the last time he would meet her. He don't want to give her another pain. Enough.

"Never?" Byul disappointed.
She stand up slowly, trying to gather her strength.

"Byul, this would be the last time we meet. I just want to say thank you and sorry for everything." Taekwoon still on the floor, for exact, he is on his knee right now.

Byul slapped Leo. Leo stay still, didn't budge even an inch.

"Yes. You better away from me." Byul warn him. She walk away without looking behind.
'That trash is not worth it Byul-ah. No need to cry for someone like that.' She try to comfort herself, wiping her tears and running back home.

"I deserve this." Leo rub his cheek. He doesn't feel the pain at all, but, seeing Byul walk away while still crying made his heart ache. He really want to hug her and confess, how he really feel. But, he stop himself. It will just worsen if he done it.
