*June's P.O.V.*

These past few days I've been focused on my singing and school work. I have been avoiding mostly everyone and I haven't been outside in a while. Honestly, this is my excuse to not talk to anyone at at. I still feel bad about Dana. And now I feel worse because I said I would text him and I didn't. Poor Dana.

Anyways, my parents aren't going to be here for Christmas or New Years. There going half way across the world to "finish some business." But I personally think it's just a vacation. They invited me to come with them but I told them I would rather stay here, watching movies all by myself. So they left. Right now, I just finished reviewing. Even though we are out of school, I don't want to forget everything that I've learned. Did I forget to mention, today is the day before Christmas Eve. So movies all night.

I went to my room and but in Home Alone. (How ironic) it was a good movie. But half way through it I felt my eyes getting heavier. And just like that, I was out like a light.

*Cole's P.O.V.*

"Dude you okay?" I said as I put a hand on Dana's shoulder. He just shook his head. So Marcus invited the boys and I to a party of his friends and we are currently here. We are all having a good time except for Dana. He is so miserable. And he has been for weeks now.

"I don't have anything to talk about.." He slurred. Right then and there I knew he was drinking.

"Dana, have you been drinking?" I said. I looked down and saw a half finished beer in his hands as there were empty bottles next to him. I took it from his hands. "You aren't supposed to be drinking Dana. Your not even 21."

"Hey, what ever makes the pain go away." He slurred as he gulped down the rest of the beer.

"You think this is the way to fix things?! Drinking isn't gonna help you in anyway Dana. Come on, I'm taking you home." I said snatching the bottle from his hands. I pulled him to his feet. He hit my hands away from him.

"You aren't taking me anywhere!" Dana shouted.

"Yes I am. Your gonna get in serious trouble." I said grabbing him by the elbow. He pulled away.

"No! I'm going to June." He said heading to his car. I pulled him back before he could touch his car door.

"Dana, you are not driving especially in the way your in." He argued more but I didn't let him go.

"Cole! Leave me alone!" He shouted as he suddenly swung for my face. I fell to the floor, holding my face in pain. I then heard a car engine turn on. I instantly got up and rushed to his car, but it was too late.

"Dana!" I shouted. As he drove off.

~BUZZ, BUZZ, BUZZ~

I woke up to my phone vibrating on my nightstand. I checked the time, it was 2 in the morning. Who the hell is calling now?! I looked at my phone, blinded by the light, it was Cole and I answered....

PHONE CONVO

J: Hello?

C: June! Something bad has happened. Wewereatapartyanddanawellhedrankandnowhesdrivingtoyourplace.

J: Cole, slow down. What happened?

C: We were at a party and Dana was drinking.

J: Dana was drinking?!

C: Yeah. I tried to take him home but he didn't let me. He said he was going to your house. Then he went to his car. I swear June, I tried stopping him but the alcohol got to his head and he punched me. He drove off.

J: What!!! He's drunk and driving!? I can't believe this? Why would he do something like this, he not that stupid?!

C: I don't know. But he looked broken. Did something happen between you too?

J: I don't know. But that's not important right now. Dana is out there, driving drunk! What are we gonna do?

C: Look just calm down!

J: CALM DOWN?! YOU WANT ME TO CALM DOWN?!

C: Just stay there in case he does go to your house.

J: But I just can't do that Cole. What if-

I got cut off by a knock on my balcony door.

J: Wait, someone's on my balcony. It must be Dana.

C: How do you know?

J: Because, I do. I'll call you back later.

END OF CONVO

I put my phone down and rushed to the balcony door. I opened it and I was right, it was Dana. He had watery eyes with tear stains down his face. I pulled him inside by his arm and I shut the balcony doors. He stood there awkwardly. I paced around the room trying to straighten out my thoughts. I was so angry at Dana. How could he do something so stupid and immature? I suddenly turned to him and.......

SMACK!!!

Dana held his check in pain.

"How could you do something so stupid Dana!" I let out. Dana looked at me.

"It's all because of you." He said calmly holding his cheek. I then realized. It really did hurt him. I calmed down and took a deep breath.

"Why did you drink?" I simply asked.

"So the pain goes away." My heart dropped.

"Did it work?" I asked trying to keep the tears in. He stayed silent. "I'm guessing it didn't and it doesn't."

"Why?" He simply said.

"Why what?"

"Did I do something wrong?" He said.

"Dana.."

"Answer, please." He said getting impatient.

"No."

"Am I not good enough for you?" He said raising his voice a little bit.

"Dana-"

"It's because I'm a Vaughns huh? You can't love a Vaughns." He raised his voice.

"Dana-"

"Is there someone else?" He said getting a bit mad.

"Dana-"

"Why June!?!? Why?!?!"

"Dana stop!" I screamed.

"Just tell me June!!!"

"I can't!"

"Why not?!"

"Because your drunk!"

"That's it im outta here!" He said running downstairs. I ran after him.

"Dana you can't leave." I said pulling his shoulder.

"Watch me." He said to me. He turned and reached for the knob. I pulled him back.

"I'm taking you."

"No your not. Just let me go, it's not like you care."

"Yes I do care. You can die."

"I'm already dead." He said. I hate myself. I caused this.

"Dana your staying here." I said locking the door. I felt like if I dropped him off at his house, he'll leave again. I'm not taking any chances. He looked pissed off. But oh well. I stood in front of the door with my arms crossed against my chest. Dana just stared. We stayed like that for a while. Then Dana sat on the stairs, still looking at me as I sat down against the door.

After an hour later, Dana already fell asleep against the stair walls. I sighed and got up.

"Dana, come with me." I shook him. He woke up with sleepy eyes. You can still tell he was drunk. I grabbed his hand and helped him upstairs.

Once we got upstairs, I helped him on my bed. I took of his jacket and shoes. I laid him down and covered him with a blanket. I sighed in relief. I got a blanket from my closet. I made myself a bed of blankets on the floor and laid down. Finally, I could fall asleep.
