THALIA

The second day of training was bad because we were interrupted by some monsters. We escaped by moving through safe houses, but the last safe house where we thought would be was already destroyed. I was injured along the way so we headed to Luke's mom to cure me and get some supplies. It was really a bad injury, and Luke said their house was nearby so we went there. His mom --May Castellan is really kind. She treated my leg and made us some cookies. Hermes was unexpectedly there too, so both Annabeth and I were star struck. It was the first time we see a God --well, except for my dad. Luke and his dad got into an argument, so we followed Luke as he stormed out of their house. Good thing I had a chance to say thank you to her mom before we leave.

We found some nice location to set up another camp, so I helped Luke to build. He haven't mention about the fight with his dad so I guess he didn't want to deal with it again. I just felt guilty because I was the reason why we went there. Because of this damn injury! Annabeth helped in building too. I'm really glad she's with us, because somehow, she enlightens our mood.

Day three of training, we made some mini obstacle for Annabeth to test her over-all performance. Luke and I set some booby traps on the obstacle. Mind test on the first base, defense on the second, endurance on the third, and to face her greatest fear on the last base.

We agreed that if she passed this obstacle, we will buy her some books of her choice in the city tomorrow. That made her more determined.

We let Annabeth condition herself for the obstacle course, and come to us whenever she's ready.

Luke and I were standing, looking on our masterpiece. He asked, "Do you think it's too easy?"

"Too easy? Nah, I don't think so. It's four tests, Luke. With different level of difficulty." I answered.

He pouted, "Well, yeah. You're right. I just want her to pass this." he said.

"She will. Otherwise, it's going to be our fault. Her performance lies on how well she understood all that we have taught her." I said.

He sighed, "I'm sorry I haven't been useful when it comes to Annabeth."

I looked at him, and he looked so down. I touch his arm and said, "Are you kidding me? Look around you, Luke. This won't even happen if it weren't for you." I said.

He looked at me, then he looked around us. The mini camp he made possible, the mini obstacle he made for Annabeth, all of his creation. He frowned, "That's not a big deal for me." he said.

"Well, it is for me. And how about the 5th rule?" I said. "You know, honestly, when you said that rule, I got chills." I added.

He laughed. "Chills? Seriously?!" he said.

I slapped his arms, and he shouted. "I knew you meant it, Luke. I felt the same way as you did. When the time comes that I needed to sacrifice myself just to save you guys, I'll be willing to die. I'm ready for it." I said and smiled at him.

The smile on his face faded and he turned me around to look at me face to face, "Why are you saying that? Nobody is going to die. I won't let that happen." he said.

I gave him a sweet smile. "You heard about my prophecy, Luke. One day, I'll sacrifice myself." I said.

He shook his head, "Since when did you believe in prophecy?! Don't let those words get into your mind, 'cause it's not gonna happen." he said.

I am out of words. I don't know what to say to him. I knew to myself that the prophecy, is somehow true. He took my hand and said, "You're a badass, Thalia! Nothing can take you away from me." he said.
