Trees

Today I was walking and on my way I saw trees. Now I'm a big fan of nature...I just love the calm that you feel when you're stressed and you go take a deep breath of fresh air.

Anyways, back to the story of trees.  Some of them looked dead and dry. And then I remember how it was born without a mother and Allah nurtured it. And there was a point in its life that it was green, vibrant and healthy. And now it was brown and all dried up.

As as you know one thought leads to another. If Allah is capable of sustaining the life of a tree with no help...then who are we to despair in the sustenance of Allah? What have we ever done to deserve Allahs blessings? Nothing right...even 500 years of worship won't be worthy enough of His blessings yet out of His generosity and mercy He blesses us. He wants to help us but we have to prove our worthy of His help.

And how do you do that is a fair question. Basically...you try to please Allah by doing what He the Almighty has ordered us. As Muslims we have taken a pledge the minute we matured (if you were raised in a Muslim family) or the minute you convert and take the shahadah. We must fulfill the pledge to please Allah and the reward for the believers is limitless and eternal.

I hope that this has gotten a message through. Next time you think you won't be able to live without something just remember Allah is the Khaliq (creator). He created your problems and He created them with a solution. He blessed you with something and can just as easily remove it from your life. He sustains us and protects us from everything. Trust that He can and He will for He has said that I am as my servant thinks of me....which is why you must be positive and sure of Allahs help.
