Dreams and Nightmares

After I calmed down Jack and I sat there for a few minutes in silence until Lucas came running in.

"Luck! Lucy!" He exclaimed running in.

"What my little man?" I asked picking him up mid run.

Lucas was born two years before the accident. He had curly very dirty blond hair and blue eyes. He reminds me so much of mom.

"Daddy told me to tell you to take me to the park." He said smiling at me.

"And if I ask dad would he say that you said it was ok for you to go?" I asked him knowing he was lying.

"Nooo." He answered smiling looking down.

"Because your my favorite I'll bring you." I placed him down and put on my flip flops.

I put Lucas in his car seat that was in my car and buckled him in. But before I could get in Jake came up to me.

"Can I tag along?" He asked. I nodded my head and he hopped in the driver's seat and I sat in the passenger seat.

-Flashback 2 months before the accident-

"Heather are you dressed?!" My mom screamed up the stairs.

"I'm coming!" She screamed back running down the stairs.

"Let go!" She exclaimed as I buckled Lucas into his seat. Everyone piled i to the car and Johnnie drove off.

Heather was wearing a white blouse with black jeans and black convers. Her hair was put up in a messy ponytail with about two inches of hair dyed pink.

Lucas had on a white buttonup shirt with black jeans and black sneakers. My mom tried to brush his curls out but couldn't so she just gave up and left it as is.

My mom was wearing a white blouse with black leggings and black convers. Her hair was up in a high ponytail with one inche of hair dyed pink too.

Johnnie had on a white buttonup shirt with black jeans and black sneakers. His hair that was covering his forehead was brushed out and straightened so the curls were gone.

I was wearing a light blue blouse with black leggings and black convers. I found my hairline I parted my hair all the way down and put it two messy braids.

"Lucy are you kidding me?" Mom asked giving me a pissed of look.

"Honey let her express herself. Atleast she's wearing a blouse." Johnnie said standing up for me giving me a wink from the rearview mirror.

"That's not the point. Every time whenever we get our family pictures taken you always have to be different. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing Lucy you be different but for the next pictures can you please wear what I tell you to?" My mom explained looking back at me. I nodded my head and smiled back.

I put my ear buds and started listening to Classic by MKTO. I have no clue why but it's my favorite song.

I felt my phone buzz in my hand so I looked down at it and saw it was a text from Uncle Kevin.

UK- Hey sweetie! Johnnie told me about what happened. I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you. How could I repay for not being there in your time of need?

L- Well you could treat me to lunch tomorrow

UK- Just us or plus Lucas?

L- Just us.

UK- Ok it's my turn to pick where we eat so I pick Panera.

L- Ok pick me up at 12?

UK- it's a date. I'll see you tomorrow.

L- BYE!!
