Chapter 9: The Fight

Jakes p.o.v

It's 5:00 in the afternoon. Destiny and I are in the living room watching twilight. Of course, she picked it out. I didn't want to untill she put her puppy face on. She knows that I can't say no to that face. I decide now is the time to tell her to invite Emily. "Hey babe?" She looked up to me as if she was saying continue. So I do, "why don't you call Emily. Invite her over here. Us three can have a lazy night. Watch movies and eat junk food all night. How's that idea?" She smiled and said, "of course! That is a great idea! I'll be right back." She got up and walked out of the living room. Im guessing to go call Emily. To be honest, I am very nervous for tonight. What if something goes wrong? What if he takes me and doesn't let go of Hannah? Who will look after Destiny? What If he takes me and hurts Destiny. No! I need to stop thinking that way. Nothing will happen to her, or me. I will get Hannah and get out of there. Then the cop will do the rest. I am hoping I get Hannah and I home safe tonight. I hear sounds coming closer, footsteps. I see Destiny walk in smiling. I figured Emily was coming. "She said that she was just getting ready for a movie night by herself but it is better with other people. She is leaving now," she said. "Okay. Hey babe? Have I ever told you that you were beautiful," I say as she sits down on the couch with me. She laughs and said, "once or twice." I smile and said, "well, to make it three times, you, Destiny Noelle Winters are beautiful." She looks down. I can tell she is blushing so I put two fingers below her chin and lift it up. I kiss her passionately then lean my forehead against hers. She smiles and blushes even more. We just stare into each others eyes till we hear the doorbell ring. We both jump back and laugh. Destiny gets off the couch and gets the door. I hear a faint hey come on in and a thanks. Then I see her and Emily walk in. I get up and gave Emily a hug. She knows what's going to happen tonight. I told her to make sure even if something goes wrong protect Destiny and help her have a happpy life. She agreed, but she said that everything will turn out fine. We all sit down on the couch. I sit on the end and Destiny sits next to me. I put my arm around her waist and pull her closer. I kissed the top of her head and she giggled. Emily sat on the other end of the couch. After about a half hour we decided to just have a Ghost Adventures marathon. After about two episodes my phone started to go off. I kissed Destiny real quick and walked out. Before I answered it I looked at the ID. It was the private investigator, detective Brown.

J: Hello?

B: How are you Mr. Whitehouse?

J: To be honest, nervous. Please call me Jake

B: Okay Jake, you should probably head out now. Remember, I will be close but in hiding. Our main thing is to get you and Hannah safe first. We can always chase him down later.

J: What if he gets away though? What if he comes back and hurts her?

B: Don't worry about that right now. If it does come to that we will have officers protect you guys.

J: Okay, I just hope everything goes good. I am going to leave now.

B: I'm already here, so it's fine.

J: Okay goodbye.

B: Goodbye and goodluck kid

*end of call*

I put my shoes on and put my phone in a secret pocket so Austin won't be able to find it. I will be recording the whole thing. See if I can get anything important out of him. I go out in the living room to tell the girls im leaving. "Hey girls, I have to go somewhere real quick. I'll be back later." "Okay, be safe babe." I lean down to give Destiny a kiss. I stay there for a little while before I pull away. I smile and walk over to Emily. I pull her in for a friendly hug and whisper, "make sure she stays safe, please." "Of course. Be safe Jake. Goodluck." I pull away and smile at Destiny again, say bye, and walk out. The alley isn't far so I walk. I can't help but think what is going to happen tonight. I have to do this for Destiny though. I love that girl and she is freaking amazing. She already has had too many things happen to her.

*After walk*

I walk in the alley. I look around and see nobody. So I stand against the wall. I hear a shuffling sound. I get off the wall and look where the sound came from. Austin came out of the dark with Hannah in his arms. She had ducktape on her mouth and her hands were tied up. "Okay, now let her go and you can have me," I said to him. He looks at me and laughs. "You really think i'm gonna let her go so easily?" I get mad and say, "No, Austin! We had a deal!" He laughed again and threw Hannah to the ground. She yelled out in pain but it came out muffled because of the duck tape. I take this moment to look over her. There is a gash on her left cheek. It looks like it's from a knife. Her right ankle looks really swolen and all over her body there was bruises. He probably beat the shit out of her because of the call. "So, what do you want," I ask him. He smiled and said, "Destiny." " I already told you that you can't have Destiny!" "well that's what I want." "Well you're not getting that. You are never going to hurt her let alone touch her, ever, ever again. Let Hannah go and you can have me. I love Destiny. She is beautiful and I wonder why. If someone has someone as amazing as Destiny, why would they screw it up. Especially to try and hurt her!" "I still love Destiny. She is MY whole world. I wanted to see more of her. I did a stupid mistake." "Apparently, you don't know what love is. If someone wanted to wait, if you loved them you would respect that. A mistake only happens once. You did this twice. She is not you're world anymore. She is all mine. Now let go of Hannah." "Not unless I have you." After Austin said that he came running after me. "Hannah, run!" I see Hannah get up and run as fast as she could but it was hard because of her ankle. Austin took a swing at me but I dodged it. I took my chance and punched him in the stomach then kick him where you do not want to be kicked. I get him on the ground but he pulls something out of his pocket. It's a gun. No! I try and grab it. He swings it at my head. Uhh. I fall off of him. My eyesight is going out. Black is coming into view. I need to stay awake, for Destiny. Where is Detective Brown? He said he would be close. Austin notices that im still not out. He laughs and hits me again. This time all I can see is black.

***Hannah p.o.v***

I ran as fast as I could. My ankle hurt so bad but I had to keep going. The streets start to look fimilar. I am a couple blocks from my house. I finally get to the house, I try to scream and pound on the door. Destiny answers the door.

*** Destiny p.o.v***

All of a sudden Emily and I hear muffled screaming and pounding on the door. I look at her and shrug my shoulders. We both get up and go to the door. I opened it and there stood Hannah! "Hannah," I scream. I hug her and bring her in the house. I pulled the ducktape off and un-tied her hands. She says, " Austin went and met up with someone. The guy said that Austin was never going to hurt you ever again and that you were all his. As soon as Austin went after that guy, he told me to run. I escaped Destiny!" Wait, who is that guy. Oh no! I turn to Emily and say, "Where is Jake?"

Please forgive me that I havn't updated that often. Btw my friend Alec got another surgery yesterday morning. They took out his top rib to take the pressure out of his arm I is a very serious surgery. I havnt heard anything yet though. I have some stories I want you guys to read.
