Chapter 40

ABBY POV

I walk into the front door and see my mum and Perrie standing there, staring at me. My mum runs up to me and pulls me into a giant hug. "Did Anne pick you lot up?" she asks me. "Yup. She took Liam home then dropped me at Lou's, so he brought me home." She pulls away, holding me the same way Elyse did at the airport. Except she's happy to see me come home, not sad to see me leaving. "I'm going to take this up to my room, Lou is bringing in my other case. What's taking him so long?" Perrie and Mum are both making weird faces at me. "Don't go up to your room, bring that case back out to Louis' car. We're going somewhere, okay?" "What? Where?" They wave at me, telling me to be quiet, and we all walk back out to his car. Sure enough, he's just sitting in the drivers seat with a smug look on his face. "Why the hell can't I just be home for 10 seconds before you drag me somewhere?" I complain, getting back into the car. 

He drives for about two minutes, then pulls into the driveway of the house. Our house. I look at Louis and see him smile. He's not looking at me, he's looking at the house. Does the thought of us living together really give him that much joy? God, I love him. 

"Alright, let's go." Perrie says, and gets out with Mum. So we get out, too. I honestly think they're crazy. "Did they really wait for us to get home so they could tour the house?" I ask Lou as we're walking up to the front door. Mum opens the door and walks in with Perrie. "You leave it unlocked? You're an idiot, Louis."He still hasn't said anything to me since I got out of the car at my house. 

I step inside- it's furnished. "You bought a furnished house?" then I look up and see Louis' family, Liam's family, Niall's family, and Harry and Marcel's family, and I get more confused then ever. "What is happening? Am I hallucinating?" They just smile at me. Lou takes my hand and guides me through all the rooms of the house. I see some of my stuff in the bathroom and I finally get it- of course, I start crying. "YOU GUYS DID THIS?!" I scream, tears running down my face. I hear laughter and I know that they did. 

I sit in the living room with everyone and they explain how they put all this furniture in here for us, and I don't even know what to say. "You were in on this?" I ask Louis. He smirks. "Do you know how hard it is to keep something a secret from you?" "Well I had no fucking idea, so I guess I don't." We have the best friends and family. And I have the best boyfriend. I look up from my lap and see Louis kneeling in front of me. Everyone starts screaming, and Daisy shushes them. 

"Abigail, we have been through thick and thin and I can't imagine my life without you. I want to live for the rest of my life with my best friend, and that person is you. I always imagined this being more romantic, but.. Will you marry me?" 

What the HELL just happened. I look at him, and more tears start pouring down my face. It's completely silent in here- it's almost like everyone in here is holding their breath. As if I'm gonna say no.

"Yes," I say, and he puts the ring on my finger. His hands are shaking, as are mine, and his palms are sweaty. He stands up, pulling me with him, and kisses me. Everybody cheers, and my Mum and his Mum are crying. Forget that, all the mums are crying. I can't believe this just happened.. Oh my god.
