Chapter 4 - Alex

~1 hour later~

"Haley, don't worry, I can get up by myself." I said when Haley helped me up.

"Alright, if you say so." Haley said biting her bottom lip.

I struggled at first, but the pain stopped, and so I stretched.

"Doesn't that hurt?" Haley asked flinching.

"Nope, not at all." I said rolling my eyes.

"We'll, I'm going out to go hunting." I said grabbing my bow.

"Whoa, that fast?" Haley asked.

"No duh." I answered.

"Wait, I'm coming with you." I heard Mitch say.

"Me too." Jason said.

"Ok, let's go." I said as I led the way to the forest.

~At the Forest~

"Hey! I found a herd of cows." Jason whispered pointing at a group of cows.

"Ok, Jason, don't kill ALL of them, just leave some babies and some cows." I whispered, and he nodded.

We killed some cows, and when we were going to pick some meat up, I noticed someone picking it up instead.

"HEY! That's ours!" Mitch said coming up to the thing, aiming his bow at it.

"W-w-wait!" The thing sounded, which sounded like a little girl.

"Mitch, wait!" I said holding him back.

When I got him to stop, I got closer to her.

She looked like if she were 8 years old, and she had long jet black hair with green eyes, and she was wearing short dark blue torn shorts, with a black tank shirt and blue converse. I could see her cheek scratched and a bruise in her arm, and she was shivering in fear.

"It's alright sweetheart, we're going to do nothing to you." I said smiling slightly.

I saw her calm down a little and say, "My, mom, she doesn't like it when I talk to....strangers."

"Oh, where is she?" I asked.

"She's over...." Suddenly, we heard a scream coming from where she pointed.

"MOMMY!" She screamed and ran to that direction.

I looked at Mitch and Jason, and I ran after her.

I was running past many trees, and then I heard the little girl scream, and when I saw her, I couldn't believe it.

There were many zombies locked around her.

I took my bow out and began shooting at all of them.

I heard Mitch and Jason both do the same.

When all of them were dead, I saw the young girl kneeling down a young woman with auburn colored hair, green eyes, and glasses. Then, I saw her arms, and they were full of bite marks, which meant she was bitten.

"Mom, don't leave me." I heard the girl say.

"You, come here." I heard the woman tell me.

When she did, I came over there and knelt beside her crying daughter.

"I-I want you to take care of Amy." She said pointing a finger at the little girl, who was crying non-stop.

"Don't worry, I will." I answered smiling slightly.

"M-mom?" I heard Amy stutter.

"Amy, lets go." I whispered as I got up.

"N-NO! IM NOT LEAVING HER!" She yelled.

Suddenly, I saw Mitch pick her up, and carried her and said, "Come on, let's go."

I led the way, and looked back to see the young woman's limp body, getting smaller, and smaller, as we got away from it.

~At home~

"Hey guys! We brought someone new." Mitch said as I opened the door.

"Ooooooooo! She's SO cute!" I heard Haley squeal when Mitch put Amy on the floor.

"Yeah! Can I put hair dye on her?" Dawn asked.

"Yeah, when she's fifteen." I answered sarcastically.

I saw Dawn pout a little, and laugh.

Amy was just standing there, I guess she was shy around everyone, which isn't her fault.

"What's her name?" Adam asked smiling at her.

"Amy." Jason answered for me.

"Come on over here Amy! I'm going to show you some dresses that might fit you that I wore when I was a young girl." Haley remarked tugging Amy by the arm and leading her to her room.

"What happened? How did you find her?" Ben asked us.

"Well, we came across her while hunting." I explained as I put the bag of cow meat on the table.

"And, she went to go get it, I guess to steal it from us, but we caught her, but we then heard her mother scream and uh, we saw her, she was bitten." I said looking down.

"Oh, did she transform?" Ty asked.

"Oh no, it takes like, a few days to transform." I said shaking my head.

"Is Amy bitten?" Adam asked.

"No, I checked, she wasnt." Mitch answered.

"Well, I guess she's making friends already." Dawn said, hearing the chuckles coming from upstairs.

Took me some time, like, I thought of this, but not well, so, I had to come up with stuff right in the spot, so yeah. xD
