Chapter 10 -Alex

"BEN! Come here!" I say as I got Mitch's arm over my shoulder.

"What is......it." Ben said as he came out of the house.

"What happened?!" He exclaimed helping Jerome walk in the house.

"I don't know!" I say going in the house with Mitch.

Everyone turned to look at us and they had surprised expressions on their faces.

"What happened?!" Haley exclaimed getting up and helping me get to Mitch's and Jerome's room.

"They told me nothing! I was just outside and I saw them walk towards me hurt!" I said setting Mitch on his bed face forward, remembering his back.

"I want you guys out, I'm going to try to fix them up." Ben said cracking his knuckles.

We all nodded and got out of the room and sat on the table.

We heard screams coming from the room that put me on edge.

"Well shit, we have nothing to eat." Amy said frowning and crossing her arms.

"Amy, watch the mouth." I said glaring at her.

"It's a free country! No, really, it is now." Amy said.

We all began laughing, but got silenced by Mitch's screams.

"How does Ben tolerate this?" I ask covering my ears and closing my eyes tightly.

"I don't know, he must be an experienced doctor." Haley answered frowning.

We all got into silence and heard Amy's stomach growl.

"See? I meant it when I said I was hungry." Amy protested.

"Tell you what? The two of us go out to hunt, and I'll teach you." Haley suggested.

"I don't think it's a good idea Haley, you don't even go hunting." I say raising an eyebrow.

"Yes I have! Nelly and I before you guys found us used to do it all....." Then she quieted down when she said Nelly.

Nelly was the girl that we also rescued with Haley at the tower, but she died in a cave by being crushed by rocks because of her insanity.

"Nevermind about her, but you get my point." Haley said.

I was hesitant, I cared so much about Amy, that I didn't even trust my best friend taking care of her.

"Alright fine, but don't go too far." I say hesitantly.

"YES! I can finally learn how to use a weapon and turn into a badass!" Amy exclaimed.

I chuckled at her enthusiasm.

"Alright, we'll be back! Don't worry." Haley said getting up, getting a bow and another bow, and left the house with Amy behind her.

When the door closed, I said, "I don't trust her with Haley."

"Why?" Jason asked me surprised.

"Haley was always irresponsible in high school, when we did the 'Baby Project', she got an F." I say.

This was true, Rick and I were partners in the baby project, taking care of a fake baby, while Haley and her guy friend did too, but when she took the baby home, she didnt come back with it the next day because she said that her little sister threw it in the river, but she didn't have a little sister......

Everyone's eyes widened except Ty's.

"The hell is a 'Baby Project'?" He asked.

"It's when you get a plastic baby, get a partner and take care of it, if it isn't taken care of properly or you loose the baby, you get an F." I say rolling my eyes.

"And what did Haley do to get an F?" Dawn asked me curiously.

"I think she threw the baby in a river or something like that." I answer.

Everyone's eyes widened.

"Well go after them then!" Adam said.

"You're right, stay here guys, you'll attract zombies." I say getting up and getting my machete and bow.

"Ok, good luck!" Jason said as I left the house.

I nodded and looked out.

I followed them and saw them enter a tower, I heard no zombie noises in the tower, so I calmed down and waited patiently outside.

I was nervous, I was biting my nails which weren't cut.

What DID I get on the Baby Project?

I looked back and remembered.

I got an A+.

I giggled as I remembered the times Rick and I would pretend we were taking care of a real baby.

Rick.....NO! SNAP OUT OF IT ALEX.

All of a sudden, I heard laughing coming from there and crashing.

I got up and entered the building.

I saw glass shattered all over the floor, and Amy lying on the floor, with a pole coming from out of her stomach.

I stood there, tears brimming my eyes, but then I heard her silent sobs, which meant she was still alive.

I kneeled down next to her and said, "AMY! W-what happened?!"

"A-Alex?" She asked her voice trembling.

"Who did this to you, TELL ME." I said at the midst of crying.

"Al-Alyson." Her word echoed in my head.

"I'll m-miss you, mommy........" She said, then I couldn't hear her breathing.

"A-Amy?" I asked my voice cracking.

I shook her limp body.

"Please, don't do this to me." I say.

Her sentence echoed my mind, mommy.....

I screamed and pounded my fist on the ground.

Alyson, that fucking bastard.

She pulled my last string.

"YOU KNOW WHAT?!" I exclaimed.

"THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED WASNT IT?! A REACTION, WELL YOU FUCKING GOT IT, AND YOU KNOW WHAT?! THIS, THIS IS WAR!"
