Chapter 15 - Mitch

"How did this happen?!" I ask looking at the forest's left over smoke. "Probably THIS caused the problem." Jacky says holding up a bombshell she found on the floor. I sigh as I look around desperately for everyone.

"Hey biggums! Over here!" I heard a voice say. I look to my left and see Jerome waving at me. "There you guys are!" I shout with relief walking up to them. "You BET. And don't forget, this happened before." Adam says frowning.

"Is Alex with you guys?" I ask looking around. "What do you mean, she ran away, remember?" Jason asks confused. "But....she was coming back here to bring you guys somewhere safer..." I say looking at him worriedly. "Well, sorry dude, she isn't." Jerome answers.

"Great, JUST great, now SHE'S missing." I say looking around more. "Man, we should have led her back, maybe she got lost." Beth suggests. "Yeah, sorry." Jacky says frowning.

"No, no need to worry, I'm right here." I hear a voice say behind me. I turn around and see Alex, looking at the ground. "ALEX! Geez! You got us so worried!" Jason says hugging her. "No no, I'm fine, don't worry about me." She says pushing him away. I tilt my head at her sudden action, I know she wouldn't have done something like that. Even Jason looked confused.

"Come on, follow us, we can lead you somewhere safe." Jacky says turning to walk to the village. "How do we know that we can trust you?" Ty asks looking at her perplexed. "Don't worry, Alex and I went with them before, right Alex?" I say looking at her. "Yeah, whatever you say..." She says not looking at me. I didn't know why, but she looked a bit paranoid to me.

"Let's go back then..." Beth says looking at the direction Alex was talking from, as if she wondered what was wrong with her as well as I did.

As we reached the area where the village was, I heard Alex mumbling to herself, and I turned to see her, and she was, talking to herself?

"Alex, you ok dood?" I ask, worried. It's not everyday I hear Alex talk to herself.

"No no, I'm fine, don't worry, I'm just, planning, that's all." She says walking past me and about to enter the now open entrance to the village.

"Planning what?" I say catching up to her.

"Can you quit following me? It's as if you are trying hard to act real." She says walking away from me.

I then stopped and stood there confused, trying to act real? I AM real, what is she talking about?

The real question is, where did she run off to when she went to get the guys, she wasn't with them when I realized the forest was on fire and went to go check on them.

I believe Beth noticed I was confused because she said, "I know, I think it's weird, but don't worry, we'll find out what's going on soon probably."

"I hope so, this isn't normal." I say back.

"I know, I noticed, anyway, we'd better keep moving, or else Jacky is going to close the entrance on us." Beth says entering the entrance.

She was right, but I was still skeptical, and wanted to know what was going on, but I shrugged it off, and entered the entrance.
