My sister is definitely the most forgiving out of the two. I walk by her room and see Chris is finally gone. I knock on the door "I'm not sleep." I walk in and sit on the edge of her bed "Alexis I know it's hard but..." "But what Zo" she interrupts, I turn to face her "Think of what daddy would say" That's the best advice I can give her, hell I'm going thru similar shit. She frowns and tears flow down her face.

I hold my arms out and she crawls over to me, sobbing in my lap. "Big sis got you Lex just don't fall for his bullshit" she looks up at me "But I love him and what if I wanted to forgive him" I sit still for a moment. One half of me wants to be upset but the other half understands because part of me wants to forgive August. "If that's the case then make him earn his position back don't just give it to him"

"Can we talk" I roll my eyes and swivel around in my chair "What Lea..." "Before you kill me with words can I apologize" I fold my arms and wait, she sighs "I just been goin thru a lot with Tia's dad..." He's back "When did he come back" she pulls a chair next to me "The day Odell came lookin for you he was at my doorstep" I shake my head "Ohh no I would've left his ass sitting right there" she lets out a small laugh "I wish I had and now he won't go away" "Why didn't you tell me" she stale faces me "You have your own issues Zo..." I put my hand up "Don't do that I'm always a friend.."

"Yea but...!" she clears her throat "Its usually been you AND August to deal with Tony" I sigh she's right the last two times me and August had to show him the proper way to leave. "Why do you keep letting him back in Lea" she shrugs "I try but he does when Tia comes home or he knows she's around... that's still his daughter and he's never put his hands on her so I can't get a restraining order" She puts her face in her hands "Y'all just gone make me call him"

"Here you are beautiful" he hands me a bouquet of yellow roses, I take and smell them then lay them on the backseat "Thank you August can we move on to the matter at hand" He smiles "Whatever you say beautiful" I roll my eyes "Where is he Lea" He ask pulling out his gun, she looks at the house "Where is Tia?" I ask. She scrolls thru her phone "My mom picked her up from school" August cocks his gun "I don't want him to get hurt, just make him get out" I look at my phone then August "Don't be stupid you have a life"... "It would be better if you came back in it" I roll my eyes and laugh "Ill go in first I don't want him to think you're gonna kill him that wouldn't turn out right for anybody" Lea says and I agree, she gets out the car and walks in the house.

We've been sitting here for some time now.. "How long has it been" August ask taking his attention off me and scooping out the house. I look at my phone "Like forty minutes" He jumps "You heard that" I shake my head no, then we hear a glass break, we jump out the car and August cocks his gun back. August leads "Stay here" he lightly pushes me back "I'm not..." "Stay back Zola I don't know what's about to go down..." He sighs "I can't lose you" A little taken by his words I step back. He opens the door and goes inside. I see Lea laying on the floor covering her face then a gun goes off. "August!!!" I scream hoping it's him that replies "Yea..." he comes from the back "Are you ok" I say patting him down and looking over him, he laughs "I'm fine but you should call the police and a paramedic" I fall to the floor and grab Lea "You ok girl" she wipes her mouth "I guess I'll be fine did you kill him August" He shakes his head "No but when he fell back he hit his head" She laughs "He's so dumb" I grab my phone and call the cops

We pull into Alexis drive way, why he had to follow me I don't know. He leans in the window "Ima see you tomorrow night right" I put my hand on the door handle "Ill be at your moms party if that's what you mean" He smiles "Ok here" he hands me a key "Whats this" "Your key to our house" I look at it then check my keys, I don't remember leaving it. "I change the locks cuz me and Chris were playing around and we..." I stop him "No need thanks for the key" He leans back "When are you gonna use it" I laugh "I'm not sure August when should I use it" he licks his lips and bites down on his bottom lip. I melt when he does that and he knows it. "You can use it now..." I laugh "Boy.." "Aye at least I tried" I get out "Bye August see you later"

"Oww was that August, Zo" she looks out the curtain and watches him pull out. I laugh and take my flowers to the kitchen "Those from him?" I smile and put water in a vase "They are" she swat my ass with a towel she had "So y'all on speaking terms now" I rub my butt and put the vase of flowers on the bar "I guess he figure it was time to grow up" She laughs "With your help I'm sure" I laugh "You heard from Christopher" she sighs "You already know I have"

"Don't give in sis you're worth more than an apology... make him kiss your ass" she laughs hard "Ok Z I got it" I start towards my room "When did daddy say he was coming?" "In a couple of days... why?" I shrug "Cant wait to see him it's been six months this time around" I walk in my room and take off my scrubs, I haven't been to sleep for twenty four hours. I get down to my underwear and fall on the bed. Alexis comes in the room "Here Zo... Oh my God" I lay there "Give me my phone and get out" I say laughing, she leaves out closes the door "Hello" "Whats up Zoe" I smile hearing Odell's voice and lay on my stomach then kick my feet up "How are you" "I was thinking about you" I blush a little "Is that right?"
