"You good Zo?" I walk back into Alexis room. I've been numb since I got that call from Ty. I clear my throat "Yea I had to talk to August." Lea looks around "Where's your dad?" I sit in the chair next to Lex's bed "He called to say he had to run an errand." Which isn't surprising. If I hadn't screamed at him they day my mom passed away he wouldn't have been there. That's how money driven my dad is.

"Let us know if you need anything." Kay says as her and Lea leave the room. "Ill come check on you later on." Lea says closing the door. I lay my head on my sisters arm "You gotta come back to me Alexis." I sit and pray over her. I wouldn't know what to do if I loss her. Eventually I fall asleep sitting in this chair.

"Wake up Zo!" Ty taps me "Mhm I'm fine right here." I jump thinking Alexis is woke. "You good?" He asks staring at me. I readjust myself "Yea I thought she was woke." He clears his throat "Damn my bad I didn't mean to scare you." I shake my head "You didn't. Whats up how are the girls and your mom?" He sits a bag down on the couch in here. "They're good scared for Alexis." I look back at her with all the tubes and wires connected to her. "I know the feeling." Ty pulls the other chair and sits in front of me. "How are you tho?" I sigh knowing where this is going. "I'm fine." He twist his lips at me. "You been in here for the last two nights. No new clothes and to be honest I think you need a shower." I gasp for air and he laughs. I hit him playfully and curl up in my chair. "I just wanna be here when she wakes up. My dad keeps going out to run business and if I'll leave she won't have anybody..." he cuts me off "I'm here. And if she wakes up while you're gone I can tell her I'm the one that sent you away."

A hour later, Kay finally comes to do her rounds. "Hey y'all." She says coming thru the door. "Hey Kay tell yo friend to go home." She eyes me "You haven't been home yet?" I roll my eyes at Ty. "I'm going I..." August walks in. What part of space doesn't he get. "What's up bruh?" "Wazzam Aug." He puts flowers on a table next to Lex. "I just came to bring Lexie some flowers." Ty stands up to look at them "They cute!" August laughs "I try man but I need you to meet at the club tonight an hour before we open the doors." He nods "Alright Aug I gotcha." He leaves and Ty looks back at me "What was that?"

"So I told him we needed space in light of this new news." He sighs and shakes his head. "If y'all aint meant for each other I don't know who is." I frown. We are not that much alike. "Whatever Ty." He laughs "Look August has growing up to do but so do you. He was gonna tell you about Jordan when he got back from Miami." I sigh "You need a vacation." I chuckle "You ain't never lied." He smiles "I know shit look rough now but I also know my brother loves the hell out of you. I can't make you take him back but believe me when I say this one mistake has him broken." I sit back and think on what he's said. I grab my purse, kiss Alexis and leave.

The house seem so cold without Alexis. I look around and see that my dads been back here. I really wish he would learn how to prioritize. I go to my room and pull out a small tote. I get a little dizzy and sit on the bed. What the hell is that about? I catch my balance and stand up. I go and ramble thru my clothes, I end up finding the letter August left me when I first left. Damn it's been almost two months since I left him. I lay it on the bed and finish packing my clothes. I turn on my bluetooth speaker then connect my phone and turn on Pandora. I take about a forty five minute shower, reevaluating my life and this bull that's been going on. I wash my hair rinse off and step out the shower then wrap myself up.

I go to Alexis room and pack her a small bag. I hear a car pull into her driveway, so I step to the front and look out the window. I open the door "Whats going on?" I ask the tow truck driver pulling a car in. "I was told to drop this car off at this address." I look around "By who?" He unhooks the car "Honestly I'm just following orders!" After putting the car down he grabs a board and gives it to me "Sign here so my boss can know that it was delivered." I grab the clipboard and read over the paper. I signed the dotted line and he hands me the keys "Have a good one." I look at the keys to this Jag and back up at him "Same to you." He gets in the truck and pull off. I hit the unlock button on the keys and open the door.

"All these gifts girl..." she laughs "You know where they came from?" I sit my glass down "No, Kay I was literally on my way back to the hospital. And the guy was backing into the driveway." "Girl maybe it was Odell or August." I honestly didn't think about that. "Well if it was Odell I don't know why, he should just stay where he is and August can't afford a 2016 Jag." She laughs "How do you know what he can afford?" I smirk and drank some of my water "My mama always told me to keep my hand in me and my man's money." She cleared her throat "He ain't your man no more and it's been a few months since you been looking at y'all books you never know what has happen to him." I shrug "You right I guess." She laughs again "I know I am girl but listen I gotta go." I look around "I do to girl gotta get back to my sister." "Right I'll be her nurse tonight so I'll see you later then you can give me details on those gifts." I laugh "You already know see you soon."

We hang up and I grab the keys to Ty's truck. I go outside and toss our bags in the back seat. My phone vibrates from a notification and I see that it's dying "What did I do with my charger." I say digging thru our bags. I close the car door and run back in the house. I walk in my room and look around then I remember I was charging my speaker in the bathroom. I go to grab it and hear a knock at the door. "Everybody wanna visit us today... hold on." I yell wrapping up my charger then stuffing it in my purse on the counter. "Who is it?" I ask walking to the door. No answer, so I peak out the peephole and the open the door "Why are you here?"
