"Aye Ty what time you taking the girls to they friend house" "They gotta wake up so I can take them to the store then after I get the house ready we'll go" I look over my paper on the desk "Iight I'll be by there like a couple hours before the party" "Cool bruh" we hang up.

I knock on the door and Alexis opens up with an attitude. "Now why the fuck are you here? Man fuck this. Zo handle ya man I gotta get ready to go." She walks off and down the hall to her room. I walk in and close the door "Whats wrong with her" she shakes her head "Ask Chris... so what's up don't you gotta get ready for your moms party?" I shake my head "Yea I just had to ask you somethin'." She put her hand on hip "You could've called..." I laugh "I know but damn I can see my girl..." I say pushing up on her. She put her other hand to my chest and pushes me back. "August I have to get ready"

I look at my watch "Its like five hours away"... "Which is why she should've been started especially if she doesn't know what she's wearing." Lex walks in the kitchen then leave, Zola laughs. "She's right, so what was the question" here goes nothing "After the party I got somethin' set up for you back at the crib... I was just.." She holds her hand up "Pause does this have something to do with sex?" I laugh then grab and kiss her hand "Not at all baby just say you'll come" She slowly pulls her hand out of my grip "I don't know August" I put my hands together and poke out my bottom lip. "Come on Zo I'm trying to grow up" she cracks a smile and rolls her eyes "Sure August"

I pull out the driveway and immediately call Ant "What's up Fam?" I turn down the main street headed to this candle shop Zo loves "Wazzam man, I need one of my favors from you" "Name it" Me and Ant been boys for years both on the south side. I've always had his back and he's always had mine. "I need two dozen... make that three dozen roses like yesterday" He laughs "Z said yea huh" I pull into the parking lot and get out "Man I'm running in the candle shop now" He laughs again "I gotcha bruh, anything else man?" I look over some candles and smell em then put them in a basket. "Uh naw I got the rest. Just meet me at the crib in a hour" "Alright Aug"

We hangup and I head to the front counter "Wow those are a lot of candles" she switched hips and put her hands on he counter "What you do" I laugh "How you know I did something" she laughs and begins to scan my candles "I've own this business for thirteen years baby I know" I put my phone in my pocket "Well it's gonna be made up for soon" she smiles "I know these are indeed gonna help young man" I smile, I'm praying this candle lit dinner and down memory lane gets me at least to spending the night or her home. "Thanks Ms. T" I pay and she smiles "No need go get your girl"

I walk in the house with Ant "Yea thanks man just sit them on the table" He lays them down "You need some help" I laugh "I got it from here big dawg" we dap up "Cool me and Alicia will be at the party as soon as she gets home from work" "Iight bet catch ya later" He left and I finish setting up. Laying rose pedals on the floor, leading a trail from the door to the living room. I got two bottles of Chardonnay and and two glasses. I'm hoping conversation will do the trick since I can't seduce her. I laugh at myself and when I finish setting shit up I run upstairs and jump in the shower.

"Whats up Aug" We dap each other up "What time mama comin in" he walks pass me with some food to put on the table "In a few hours, maybe a hour after the party starts" I grab a bowl of wings and helped with the rest of the set up. About a hour later my mama's friends started to show up "Hey baby long time no see" I hug Ms. Ann "Yea it has been how you been" She smiles "Good how are you baby and that girlfriend of yours" I smile seeing Alexis and Zola bad asses walkin towards the house "We good Ms. Ann thanks" I direct my attention to the door and open it to let them in. "Hello August... bye August" Alexis walked passed me and went straight to Ty. When this happen?

I direct my attention to Zola, who has on this sundress that is hugging all the right curves, her body making me rethink this seducing shit. "You can stop staring August" she laughs and walks pass me. I close the door "Aye come here" I grab her hand and pull her back to me "Uh what August" I look her over and bit my bottom lip "You look good baby" She pulls her hand from me "Thanks August where is your mom?" "She's not here yet" She shrugs "Where should I put her gift" I showed her to the gift table "Want some to drink or eat" "I'm not hungry but I will take a drink" I grab her hand "What you want" she looks at what we have "A cup of henny" she smiles "Let me find out" she grabs the cup from me "Find out what" she smirks while taking a sip

"Shhhh y'all they're coming" Ty turns off the front lights and stands behind the kitchen wall. The door opens and we jump out "Surprise!" She grabs her chest "Oh my God I'm gonna kill y'all" We all laugh and turn on the lights. "I knew y'all was throwing me a damn party" Ty laughs "You ain't know nothing" She laughs "Let me go change into something comfortable"

"Ayee I see you" Alicia says laughing at me and Zola dancing. "Don't hurt him sis" Alexis says laughing with a fourth cup of vodka and cranberry juice. "Alicia better not hurt Ant over there" Our song goes off so Zo goes to sit down "Can you get me another cup" she smiles, I grab her cup and take it to the kitchen. Walking pass the door I hear a knock, I go to answer it "I'll get it you focus on my daughter" I crack a smile and walk off "You guys came"...
I hand Zo her drink and sit between her and Alexis. Next thing I see is Lex taking off her shoes and earrings then Zola standing up. Damn what the fuck is Jordan and Jayla doing here.
