Here We Go

Father knows best?

A/N: sorry I'm being slow! I am updating my other fanfic Outlast more frequently if you want to check it out. And this is an au where James is not married and has no kids.

Third Person POV: 

"Dee, that's great. But why are you to having sex anyway? Your not married!" Helene said. 

Idina's heart fell; "Mom, it was once-" Kristin gave Idina a sympathetic look. 

"Idina, honey I didn't mean it like that!" Helene came over and hugged Idina. 

"We are all very happy for you!" Cara said as she walked over to hug her sister. "Will you date him?" she whispered into Idina's ear. 

"Maybe. I don't know." Idina was happy to have the support of her family; but her father was silent. What was he thinking?

Stuart POV:

 When Idina said she was pregnant my heart stopped. Cara had always been the more 'goody' of the two but I never imagined Idina would do this. I worked hard to keep my face straight but then James looked at me. I couldn't hold it in any longer, "IDINA KIM MENZEL! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS!? YOU ARE A MOTHER ALREADY YOU ARE DIVORCED, THIS PATH NEVER ENDS WELL IDINA!" 

"Stuart!" Helene yelled as she ran over to Idina; who was now sitting on the couch sobbing. Cara, James, Kristin, Walker, Helene and even Cara's kids (Jake, Nadia and Natalie) are hugging her and trying to calm her down. 

"I MEANT EVERYTHING I SAID!" I yell and run into the car and drive off. 

Kristin POV:

 It was all going well; I thought. Until Stuart yelled terrible things at Idina. She fell apart. I decide to go comfort her (as does everyone except Stuart). "Dee, shh, honey its OK." 

"He hates me!" she sobs hysterically. 

Walker pulled me down into a little hunched position. He whispers, "Kristin, I don't want to see mommy cry! Can I go downstairs into the play room with Jake, Nadia and Natalie?" 

"Sure baby, just don't be too loud." I say. It's understandable not to want to see your mom cry. The kids go downstairs and I stay; unsure how to comfort Dee. 

Idina POV: 

I can't believe dad said that! I thought he loved me! Everyone is trying to comfort me but I need dad. 

"Shh, baby it's fine! You are going to be the best mom ever to Walker and this baby!" James said. It makes me feel better with James believing. 

Third Person POV: 

That night Idina stayed at her parents house. Stuart didn't show back at all. Kristin took Walker home for the night but promised to bring him back in the morning.
